I think it's really sad that Mondays episode(3x02) got such low ratings because it was a really good episode!! I liked 3x01 too but 3x02 was better. I'm hoping that they were just so low this week because both House and Heores had 2 hour premiers. Next week GG won't be up against House so I hope they will go up next week. If they get lower than this or if there isn't a decent increase I will really start to worry about cancellation. I want many more seasons of GG so everybody has to watch it when it airs!!!!!

Oh i forgot, i agree with everyone else about the punishment of Blair. Just stop it already. She is not that bad a person that she has to have everything taken away from her. That is not the only storyline she is capable of.

Gossip Girl now lacks unified plot rather busy with guest stars that arent going to matter after 4 episodes max. In the first season they played consistently with blair vs. serena plot and intro to georgina. Second season gg had no real plot that stayed through out the season. Which loses interest in the upcoming episodes.

Chuck and Blair are the only two that interest me at the moment. All the other characters got really boring and weird and without much Chuck and Blair in the last two episodes its been a little boring

I agree with defectivequeen, very well put. They should bring the old charecters back, like Blair's Mom, Cyrus and where did aaron go, I would like to see him return as Blair's Stepbrother and maybe help her out a little, also I loved him with Serena, she made a huge mistake dumping him,if she can't be with Dan then I would prefer Aaron. Carter is hot, but he is a loser and I belive has a motive for dating her. As for Chair, please more fighting and make up sex, that would be hot, but don't break them up, also some scheming together would be great, maybe a plot to take down Carter. Uncle Jack coming back would be good, he is a good character and he is evil. Well Nate is just dying in front of our eyes, he is boring beyond belief, maybe an older woman can help him out again, or maybe a Vanessa/Bree/Nate storyline would be good, because Scott is just horrible, he brings nothing to the show, just tell everyone who you are already and end this BS. I want to see Jenny more, this way we can

Oh yes. Do something about Jenny's wardrobe malfunctions and goth make up. She does NOT look like a 15yr old that she's supposed to be, she looks more like a Courtney Love in the making. Big No-No. Bring back her stylish cute designer wannabe self and drop the rock rebellious angry look, doesnt suit her.

I def. agree. Gossip Girl is in college! They need to see that as a opportunity...now all the sex and alcohol is more understandable!
Now is time to be over the edge! Make Nate gay (that will explain so much), Make Chair kink (not in a desperate way), Serena can have a drug addicion...LOL. I don`t know, just do something entertaining!

GG really started going downhill last season. And this season so far is only a little better.
Us B fans really hate it when the plot is centered around her life sucking. Especially this season when she gets trumped by DAN?? amirite?
But anyway, please do us a favor and let Nate be with someone who isn't some random actress for a change? And Vanessa doesn't count, because she sucks. I could really GAF about Nate at this point.
Season 1 was epic. Recreate, please?

Things that must be done to improve Gossip Girl as we now know it:
1) Either give her an actual, interesting storyline that doesn't involve sabotage of other characters and other storylines, or just kick Vanessa out. Seriously.
2) Make Chair like season 1. This means, more hot, random sex scenes, witty dialogue, and loving insults. But couple style. None of this making up and breaking up shit like Darena.
3) Give Nate a storyline that doesn't involve a girl. FOR ONCE. Let him do something drastic! Give him a new haircut, new music tastes, make him a heroin addict...anything to make him interesting again.
4) Make Serena and Nate have random, hot hook ups. It was amazing the first time, it will be amazing now.
5) Dan and Blair friendship. That's all.
6) Dan should grow as a character. I want to see him change in college, not be the judgmental, hypocritical ass he's been for the last few episodes. Make him the really popular kid who does no work, but parties all the time

First I think the time change has a big part to do with it. Second the story lines haven't been great so far. Chuck and Blair role playing? And Blair showing up at NYU in a limo with a nanny? So unbelievable. I do however believe her typical way of buying friends with her Tiffany gifts and food. Also they totally blew off Lil J and Eric. If you want high schoolers to watch put back the high schoolers. Most shows which transition from one phase to another go downhill. Does anyone remember when the Facts of Life girls went to college? It didn't work. By the way I am in neither high school nor college and I love the show.

Some people give up Gossip Girl in the half of season 2 because the storyline was horrible and silly.
What made things worse was the CRAP season 3 premiere.
My sugestions:
- More sexy scenes, especially from Chair. I like cute, but I don`t watch gossip girl for cute.
- No more Blair been screwed up ALL THE TIME.
- More bitch lines and a shoker storyline.
- LESS Vanessa. It`s too late to people appreciate her dilemmas now.
- More Blair, Chuck, Dan, Serena and Eric...Dorota is welcome too.

I agree - the change of time slot made a diference. It really makes no sense. It's true that a lot of the teenagers that watch it might have curfews.
As a former hardcore OTH fan I have to say I don't get why it had higher ratings. All last season and this season, the show has no good storylines that can keep it afloat. I did feel the premiere of GG was a bit boring, but last episode was a solid one, in my opinion, with Blair back to her old tricks and Serena and Chuck.
I'm hoping it will pick up!

here's what i like about GG and feel it needs to be improved:
-more chair scenes - in character, please -;
-chuck & blair should develop indipendent and INTERESTING storylines;
-chuck-serena interaction (last episode was disappointing, i liked the vanderbasses better last season)
-more funny family moments with jenny/eric (and rufus too)
-carter was a jerk and he must stay like this...i don't really like his sentimental version;
-dan's writing career must be explored more;
-chuck needs to discover something more about the death of his father and some information about his mother;
-chuck&blair scheming together like old times for a serious reason;
-uncle jack comes back;
-blair must not be taken down so easily by humprey;
-KILL Vanessa or give her a reason to live;
-try serenate as a couple (serena must not falls so easily for him);
-in the long road maybe derena should come back;
-jenny's fashion career must be explored more and better than last season;
-more d

brazilian girl - i miss the colour palette too! i loved that. I was ok with the light colours at the start of s2 because it was summer but i though it would go back and it didn't.
my mate stopped watching gg about half-way through season 2. I think that's where it started to go wrong.

The thing is, compared with other season premieres of Gossip Girl, the first episode of this season was boring and lack of sparks. the second one was a big improvement, but overall I think was the lack of realistic events ocurred on the two episodes. I know it a RV show, but you can do it as realistic as possible. C'mon a party on the rooftop? That is never gonna happen. And I find, that Nate and Bree, are killers of that show, they do nothing. Scott, another wreck ... Georgina makes drama, conflict. That is what people want. Blair, Serena, Dan, Chuck and Vanessa as well. Even Carter.
Gossip Girl needs, that every character be important in the show. I mean, I can take Nate and Bree, and the show will be better. As I said, they do nothing about it. They don't make more drama, a bigger plot, they don't WOW me! As for Scott, I believe you might have something for him.
We all want Gossip Girl for several seasons!!!!!!!!!!!

Major competition on Mondays. House, Heroes, Dancing with the Stars, Two and a Half Men...those are some pretty heavy hitters. And when 24 comes back, that will probably be on Mondays at 9pm again. If GG was on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, I think the ratings would pick up. The competitor there would be American Idol when it returns. Thursday has some heavy competition too.

I agree with Nate being isolated and the fact that Serena always has something to whine about and get everyone's attention is a huge turn off. It was cute in high school but it's annoying now that everyone is moving on to do mature things. She used her father as an excuse to party like there's no tomorrow and bribe gossip magazines to publish boring pictures of her... wtf?
On the contrary the story lines on Blair, Dan and Vanessa are a huge success to me! Their characters are evolving like they're supposed to. I love the fact that Blair is consistent with her 'values', 'rituals' and 'queen rules' that used to work for her in high school but obviously dont work at all in college. Dan finally getting the chance to shine and be popular in college is also a great storyline. I like Vanessa's development too, I just dont see the chemistry between her and the guy she's dating.
Anyway, bottom line is: evolve the characters, don't keep them stuck in the same old routine, esp for Serena,

These are the ratings in the USA, but there are also many fans in other country's. It is very popular in Germany and The Netherlands (where I come from). So they don't have to forget that!

- The storylines are getting boring, it was much more provocative before! That was the difference between this show and the rest!
- I think the scenes are short and like random, maybe if there were less and more elaborated...
- They don´t interact (I think most of us are waiting for an episode in which they spend all the time together,like a trip or something like that, that would be funny)
