I think alot of it has to do with tivo... dvr's & people watching online. I ALWAYS watch online. if you check Itunes,they are always in the top 10 for a downloaded episode.

Blair wasn't suppose to care about ruling anymore. They are making Chuck a saint and her the bad guy. Serena's plot is boring. How is going to Carter better than talking to her friends with all of them having daddy issues? (One died, one homosexual, one in jail)~ Why is Carter in the mix in the first place? I rather have Nate back than him! I thought that Nate didn't want to be a man-whore?! Chair were better off best friends. Them as a couple are cute, but boring and predictable. Where the heck is Eric? I miss his hilarious one liners. Why is Jenny acting less like her character and more like her true self? Why does Vanessa always screw things up with Blair and Dan? Won't someone call her out on it already. *I love Dan and Blair!!* It's the only thing original and not boring. Them scheming and being friends is great! Why do they have to screw them up? Having Dair is better than Derena. I miss Rufus advice. I miss Breakfast Club. I miss more voiceovers by Gossip Girl. No more focusing

House and Heroes were a two hour premiere last week. So I watched that instead of Gossip Girl. I can only imagine a lot more people did the same since you can't just watch half an episode then leave. Next week when they are on at 8 things will be fine. haha

Hello everyone!! I`m from Romania, so, the CW's time slot doesn`t affect me. I used to be addicted to GG's 1st and 2nd seasons. But, now, the storyline has gone rather downhill.
1) Serena's behaviour is way off boundaries. And it's beggining to get on my nerves. I can hardly watch the scenes without wishing to skip forward.
2) Nate's story is boooooooooring. And yes, he is like alone in the world or smthin. Nobody remembers him, and he doesn`t remember anybody.
3 ) Vanessa and Dan are totally rockin` the world of NYU. They are no longer outsiders, so there is no buzz around them. They are exactly where they're supposed to be.
4) The only thing that spices up the show are the lines of Chuck and Blair... who always seem to have something smart to say.
So, maybe, just maybe, this season`s plotline is not as catchy as the previous' seasons. But, we should keep in mind that it`s only the 2nd episode... this night the 3rd, and we shouldn`t judge any harder. But if nothing improves...

Oh and another thing! what is nates purpose on the show, besides being eye candy? i mean how did chace even win a teen choice for his role as nate? Nate is supposed to be the kinda guy every girl falls for. but dan and chuck have more fans then him. stop making him a manwhore i thought he was done with that, make nate sweet&confused like the 1st season!
BTW, i dont think there's anything wrong with season 3, except Nate! i love GG and its to early to judge season 3. GG will always be my favorite show :)

Here's wat i think about serenas romances possibility this season!
Serenate: will most likely happen later this season, im guessing it will be the season ender, and season 4 will lead us into serena and nate's relationship problems! but carter is here for 7 epsisodes, plus serenate is a BIG deal so most likely it wont happen right away. maybe episode 14 r something!depending on how many episodes
Darena: i miss them but the show ruined D&S
Carena: carter will only be major on the first 7 episodes, and no relationship with serena ever really last long. and chances are carter is playing some game and is his regular bad self.
ever since that chair thing happened e'rything got so messed up..the rating slide??no brainer!

^ Ratings evidently do mean something. Because that was the sole reason The Beautiful Life: TBL got axed which is quite crazy assuming that there was hardly any promotional material for TBL. But after two episodes and poor ratings, TBL was axed.

It's the timeslot. I don't think it's anything else other than that. Plus most people watch it online so therefore those ratings don't mean anything really.
My only requests are:
Please get Nate out of the show or get him a new personality and do get Gerogina and Carter to become a series regular

Something that I miss, that I think might have already been said, is that in the first season many of the plotlines involved all of the core characters interacting in some way. Now it seems like they are pretty isolated from each other and interacting a lot more with outside guest characters. I want them all back together again!

Season one was by far the best. There was lots of drama, but the mood was still light and airy. another thing I loved about season one was how it really showcased New York glmaour. Season 2 was still pretty good. As for season 3? I don't mind it so far. The only thing I'm concerned with is that it doesn't really capture the essense of Gossip Girl that the first two seasons had. Maybe I just feel this way because theres no more constance or st. judes, and you see them more in the NYU area than in the UES. I can't really judge season 3 yet, but I just really hope they recapture the essense of Gossip Girl. And what is the essense of Gossip Girl?
In my opinion: The Upper East Side; Shopping at saks, bendels, bergdorfs, and barneys; glamorous parties and cotillion-type events, Drama of course, High school heiarchy and of course, Chair :)

Maybe its just me, but everyone forgetting Georgina was basically evil is ridiculous. Also, what is fun about watching Blair as an outcast, Serena as a train wreck, and Dan as the social king. I loved the books, I loved the earlier seasons, but I can barely get through each episode of this season. I vote bring back the old Gossip Girl, and get rid of this social experiment
i still think that it's an O-kay show, but i do miss the season 1 "drama"

Georgina and Carter should be together, both characters have so much potential, and could be intresting given the right story lines. but playing characters to other ppl SL just waste there talent! put the bad boy with the bad girl.

7.No more new boring why the hxll r they even on the show characters? carter, scott, tyra, georgina, Bree(plz get rid of her)
8.N/C/B/S/D/J/E friendship back(um isnt the show suppose to be about there friendship anyways?)

I think GG is boring now:
- i miss the OMG scenes
- chuck and blair aren't exciting, just a cute couple, i think they shouldn't be together, because i love the drama between them, and i could give them a lot of funny stories. But of course we needs Chair scenes, but not as a couple.(don't misunderstand me, i like them )
- the storyline sucks, especially nate's. I like Nate and my opinion is that every series needs a golden boy, he just needs a good storyline. For example, I'd like to see some Serenate action again, because they are sexy and exiting.
- I like Georgina and Carter, i think they should join the cast.
- less guest star!

i liked S&D but the writers killed that relationship, by making them related seriously eww!
2.And old Jenny would be nice, Jenny and Taylor r the same person now, she's not even acting anymore. she's just being herself, which makes her a terrible actress!
3.Nate needs Serena in his storyline, being a hot screw up is just not enough, two hot screw ups much better!
