While I love GG (& I've never loved a show like this b4), if they can't keep up the quality of the show, I'd rather they cancelled it mid-season. Why ? Because I care about talented actors like Leighton and Ed, who should be released to go onto better shows or movies. Otherwise their popularity will go down the stream & may not pickup again..

Agree with Jo-Mama and ncgirl4004. Talk about disappointments, I really don't care about other characters. But C&B ? They can be so much more playful, lusty, sweet and naughty at the same time. And they skipped all that ?! Their so called intimacy now is chuck lying on bed without any action..yeah, like a granny (somebody use this description & it's so fitting). No young guy will act like that, especially not Chuck.

Season one: GREAT! AMAZING! LOADS OF DRAMA AND EXCITMENT!
Season two: PRETTY GOOD! FUN TO WATCH... excitment went down. Less plots schemes and Constance.

Agree with Jo-Mama and ncgirl4004...season 2 had kind of pushed everything to the limit and everyone was disgutsted...remember the Vuck? The Elle? Then THE FIRST scene we get with the new couple is Chuck hitting on another girl. Game or not...it pretty much said where the show was going and frankly it hasn't improved.
Oh, please stop the Blair beat downs show. A lot of us are really sick of it.

i think they should stop serenas mood swings as there is never any balance with them she should go moody and then have a emotioonal moment with carter or something so it shows she does care cuz shes coming off self absorbed at the mo.and they should go to more outings as a team or something cuz its true nate is not involved and gossip girl need sto stir up the drama.want to see more of jenny and eric as they could get interesting being at st.judes/constance.and i want more glamour like season 1 e.g parties and photo shoots and other events that reflect audrey hepburn and jackie o

I would like to second Jo-Mama's posting. GG has the sexiest/hottest TV couple and the 1st scene showing Chuck suggests that he was going to hook-up with another girl???? If you were watching the premiere, chances are you watched the season finale and you saw how Chuck and Blair were together and happy (for about 2 minutes at least)--doesn't make any sense to me.
I think the writers don't know how to write for a sexy, happy, in-love couple.

Bring Dan and Serena back together. They are one of the best things about this show.
If you stop watching the show, then the ratings are going to plummet. More than they already are. And then GG will disappear altogether. We don't want that, we just want changes. So if anything, don't stop watching. That's definitely not going to help. At all.
Once again, I'm going to say that the reception that this post has received is crazy! Nearly 500 comments. The fan base is just incredible!
I want Serena and Nate together so much more interesting then that bree charakter and Nate could finally have a plot line in the show again.Blair has kind of lost the bitch inside her that was present in season 1 ...but I still love the show and will watch curious what they have come up with for season 3 cuz its only been 2 ep till now :)

It would have been nice to see Blair and Chuck's relationship develop over the summer. First real date.. first real hot, passionate, moment where they actually slept together... the morning after, etc. What did they say? What did they do? Where did they go? Any ackward moments?
For being a core couple, I feel the fans were really cheating on watching them become a real couple. I for one am disappointed...

Um, you need to calm down. The post asked for suggestions; it did not say, "Gossip Girl is doing poorly but you all should keep watching it and disliking it to the point where you will stop." It asked us to simply brainstorm why we think the ratings are going down. And fans, who have watched the show since Constance, the 'Kiss on the Lips' party, and Jenny's long, blond hair, do NOT like the path the show has chosen. it is not about the past two episodes- it is about the slow, downward fall that the show has been suffering for the past year.
Oh, and ps. If we all stop watching the show, like you boldly suggested, then the ratings will be even lower, and- guess what? The show will be PULLED. Then, you and all the other "fans" will be even more upset than we are now.

You can't kill someone on a show like this. It's not days of our lives people. Did anyone not remember the whole the OC and Marissa thing? The show as a total joke after that. You could send Vanessa away to ..France or somewhere to work on a documentary.. and only bring her back everyonce in a while like holidays when she comes to see her "parents" and Dan. But you cannot kill someone in a highschool-college like show. It'd be TERRIBLE>

Oh, and make jenny look better. Her hair=shit her makeup=shit. she is living on NYC's UPPER EAST SIDE and if you want it to look like Lily Bass-Vanderwoodsen-Humphrey has that much money.. make her take the girl for a freaking makeover. And stop shooting her in stuff that accentuates how damn skinny she is. It is terrible for younger girls watching, you can see her bones. Make her get help or cut her air time!

Georgina is terrible. She is not a good actress, plus Michelle Tractenberg? They should leave her off and should have gotten someone different to play her role in the first place. I think that the first two episodes are trying to set up too much that they are in college. We get it. They need to all be together and going out.. It'd be more interesting if they all went out together and everyone around college was wondering who they were.. that'd be a good way to tie in gossip girl because the kids at NYU could be finding out about the Constance/St. Judes kids that way. The last episode was miserable. For the college audience that watches it (..ie lots of sorority girls) the time switch is good.. every monday night across america they are in chapter meetings until 8. but anyone of them can say that a college party is nothing like that. Blair wouldnt be standing in the corner alone and Dan would never get on the microphone and embarass her. no one would care at a party. If they actually we

At Bianka: Just because GG has a cult-like following, doesn't mean that the writers and producers can just let it go. There are a lot of good shows on TV and real fans should be concerned as early as now because the show might get axed in a jiffy. We, the fans, are seriously concerned. TV ratings are unforgiving. don't want to see one my favorite shows go down the drain just like that.

It seems that an overwhelming majority wants V out. Seriously, I hope the writers and producers listen to us. V should have a MINOR storyline to say the most. Unless, the producers and writers want to lose the ardent supporters of GG. Please Please V is really IRRITATING! I am very close to not watching the show.
