Gossip Girl Spoilers: A Drowning in Episode 5 (or 8)?
A number of photos have been emailed to us from the Gossip Girl set this week. From what we've gathered, there is a drowning scene - someone drowns or at least comes close to it - in the fifth episode of the current season.
That would be "Rufus Getting Married," airing Monday, October 12.
The picture below shows the cast and crew apparently at the edge of a pier, though it is not known where the scene is supposed to take place or who goes in the drink (though someone in a suit looks poised to dive in).
A stunt double for Chuck or Nate maybe? What do you think?
UPDATE: Thanks to our readers for the new intel and theory that this is Nate's cousin Tripp, and the episode in question is actually "The Grandfather, Part II," the eighth of the season and scheduled for a November 2 airing.

My guess is if this is indeed episode 5 then Georgina is drowning.

I think it is Dan because the stunt double looks alot like Dan in this picture and I don't think it is any of the cast drowning. I think it is just a man.

so... Having seen the casting call for epi 08 here's my bet: Trip is entering him campaign and to get attention pays a man to "drown" so he would conveniently save him. Of course we won't know that right away, Nate'll look into things and he will learn once again that his family won't stop at anything in order to get what they want.

Looks to me like the stunt guy is wearing the same suit as Nate. If it were from the wedding episode, my first guess would be it's a Serena's trying to get Daddy's attention antic. After all I'm sure Lily's newest wedding will draw lots of press, providing a golden opportunity for S.
