We are bashing characters. You are bashing real people. I'd say you were more immature.
George didn't use Lexie.He genuinely cared about her as a friend, so much so he knew everything about her to her middle name. It wasn't his fault he wasn't in love with her, but he did care about her. In the deleted scene, he basically begged her not to stop being his friend and she totally dumped on him, something she admits too. When did he forget her. He passed his exam and wanted to share it with his oldest friends. When he saw Lexie come to the bar, he smiled a huge smile at her and motioned her to come to the table but like the immature idiot that she is, she ran off. So when did he forget her?
As for Meredith, Meredith knew she didn't love him when she slept with him too. She knew he had feelings for her and she didn't return them and she still slept with him instead of turning him down nicely, then she cried. She was as much to blame as he was, or maybe more because he at least had the

I do have to say whoever is constantly bashing characters on this site please stop ! most of us are adults and as adults we should act morally sound and give the young teens ,that could possibly be on this site, a great example of maturity ! let's act our age ! I mean come on we've already done that whole high school drama bitching crap before right ?

I thought that too but I think that SR or KV hoped that we remembered in the bomb episodes when Izzie said that she laughs at funerals and inappropriate times. Guess it could've backfired.

I have the same dark sense of humor Mark does. I have laughed at Mark and at George at some point. The guy isn't a bad man. He is who he is and I hope that he doesn't change. Ever.
Plus, you gotta understand he said it to make Lexie feel better. He said it to get through the day. Maybe he didn't feel the loss close to him but it was close to Lexie and a somber mood to the hospital arrived.

Call me stupid. But wasn't the funeral scene done back some yrs ago by the girls on Steal Magnolia's when Julia Roberts died? I love this show. But I wish they wouldn't pattern there show after great movies from the past. Good grief...Have original idea's your idea's.

Chill out guys, it was just a show why are you all getting so pissed. Mark wanted to make Lexie laugh and it worked. About the whole bashing thing... its just a show! They are all characters why take it so serious?
Delinda aren't you bashing Mark too by saying he has a artificial look?
Anyways come on it was just a joke to make his girlfriend laugh and btw I dont think its insulting to T.R. I mean they were talking about George it was just a dialogue Eric Dane needed to say!

I don't think Mark wishes he was George but whatever. He is the guy that makes inappropriate jokes at the wrong time. He's not the devil for it.

Couldn't agree more on the Mark/Lexie thing. They made them likable. Hopefully, they'll stay this way.

I love love love love George. He was my absolute favorite and I hated how mark treated him when he was alive but I thought marks comments were funny. They were very true to his character which was good to see bc it seemed like ever since marklexie started he was not true to character at all. Which btw is why I couldn't stand them. Pukeworthy if u ask me. But in the premiere it seemed like the writers finally realized that and we got to see the old mark again who by definition is a bit of an a$$hole but a likable a$$hole. Oh and for the first time since the beginning of S5 I was able to watch a scene with mark and lexie and not feel sick. I actually found them cute bc they were more realistic. Looks like the writers finally dropped the cheesy crap. Which is good cus i'm starting to like lexie she seems to be growing up a little bit.

everybody in this show have laughed of george sometimes, sorry for you but when they compared burke and george like tacher"" and the chief if was ridiculous for george
and what do you prefer? (when you only can watch) a hot plastic guy or a guy who isn't near to be hot but he'd love lie down with models (izzie) but models don't look at him twice and he tell you in your face you are the only thing he can have (to callie when she was his wife).
I think tne respect thing is for everybody and everything and not only when someone said something don't like us about our favourite character
moreover, to anuflas, I understand your comment,he was trying to make Lexie feel better, I think the same about that scene

So you laughed at the bashing of George's looks. Wow, I think bashing someone's looks, especially someone who just died, is about as trash and low as you can get.
We might not have the same sense of humor. It was insulting both to George and to TR.
And to me, George was beautiful in every way and a lot more attractive than Mark as a person and even looks-wise.
The chiseled artificial look Mark has has never been my style.
I like the cute warm lovable guys a lot more.
Mark wish he could be half the man George was.

Are you surprised? Mark never liked George and to him, it was the loss of a colleague, not a friend. He was trying to make Lexie feel better and the only way he knows how is by making jokes. And I laughed at them too.

I LOVED the closing - thank you SO MUCH for posting this! The writing is fantastic, and hearing all of the different characters contribute was so perfect. Genius. Shonda succeeded, and so did all of the writers. Well done.

but it was funny and mark never like george, when someone you know die like that, but didn't like very much that person, you can feel sorry because anyone deserve that death but nothing else
george was a good guy but he was a "human being" and he made mistakes, he sleep with meredith, although he know she didn't love him after derek chose addie, and he was a bad boyfriend-husband for callie (he could have left her before) and he used lexie too when his friends forgot about him in 4 season, and when he became resident he forgot about lexie, in my opinion he was a bad friend for her too

I hated the Mark quote. Did they have to bash George's looks when he died? And Lexie laughed. It made me hate her. She just goes through saying what a terrible friend she was to him and she laughs when Mark insults him. I wished she had told how nice and funny and caring George was. That whole awesome speech she gave him in season 4.
That's why those women fell for him.
I was just so angry they were ridiculing George when he died a hero.
