I don't care about Mexie's age difference. The problem is they are boring and have zero chemistry, and a lot of fans just hate them and are starting to hate Mark for it.
I loved Izzie with Denny and I ADORED her with George. He made her happier than anyone else and they had such awesome chemistry.
Alex and Izzie are toxic for each other, and really it's making me ff Izzie, a character I love.
I miss Gizzie so much. I think my love for the show started declini ng after they ended, and now it's practically gone because Georeg is dead.

I think this is an amazing cast and absolutely would be bull**** if they ever cut the show. Its the best show on tv.
Ok but Callie and the ped doc (forgot name) are an okay couple i dont really like how callie goes from her to mark. I LOVEEE Mer-Der. they are an amzing couple and without mer the whole cast would really fall apart and so would derek because he sees black and white and she sees color. Slexie is such a cute couple even though its about 10-15 yrs difference. They are so cute. I am so going to miss George in season 6. he is the one who has the joy and jokes. But then George and Izzie are adorable because the understand each other but alex is so great for izzie. If izzie leaves the show for a couple episodes ( she will be going in for exstensive chemo at mercy west even though she is filming movie)i might die. she is also like george they are the sunshine of sgh. but i think mark and derek she make up from fight toward end of season.

I think Mark and Lexie are perfect for each other! I just love them together and I am looking for to see more of them.

Lexie is immature but she has yet to live. Mark is also immature but he has lived. He already has seen. It was hinted at the SF when he told Derek about the house, that he really was leaving his manwhore status behind, whatever Lexie decided.
I think that is what it was referred as the age differences. Remember when George and Derek were trapped in the S3 premiere?
George: You know, you're an as$. You lived, you've done things. And you got the hair, and the hot wife, and the beautiful ex mistress who pines for you.
Derek: She's pining for me?
George: If you die, who cares? If I die...well, this is it?
I think this monologue between George and Derek is the 'immature or age difference' of Lexie to Mark. Lexie has still to see the world through experience and age while Mark may not be that interested other than settling down.

Lexie is more like 15 years younger than Mark,but he is very imature so there perfect together.I will miss Mer and hope it won't be more than 2 shows. After all the title of the show is Greys Anatomy and Lexie is'nt the Grey they are refering to.I am still disappointed that MerDer did'nt have a Mcbaby. It would have worked and would have made a interesting storyline. If they going to have kids they better hurry,since neither is getting any younger.

Im so glad that we get ot explore Derek as a character, not as a package deal with Mer. I do love MerDer, but we needed a break from them together at the hip or broken up. Slexie... not my favorite couple, but still, they just DO NOT belong. Bring on a Mc____ for Lexie!

I suffered a lot with duncan-veronica-logan and now with bill-sookie-eric
there are couples I don't mind but they have not chemistry like mark-callie (yes like friends)/lexie (if they let him be himself again, maybe, but they don't have chemistry), sloan had chemistry with addison and meredith I think. And Izzie make horrible couple with alex and with george (they were only good as friends), maybe shonda'd have let denny survive...
and of course one of the worst couples for me: the bones couple angela-hodgins
at the end, the most important, in my opinion is If you enjoy the show or not, don't mind why you are a fan, when I don't enjoy a show then I don't watch it anymore

there are a mountain of horrible and no chemistry on tv shows. I enjoy (as everybody I guess) when I can watch a couple I love, but that's sometimes imposible, or worse if they let you taste it for a short time

Just to make things clear, I am not trying to say that simply because there are a lot of fans, the pairing should continue. I was just posting something that I read and I realise that different people have different opinions. Some people love mark/lexie and some people don't. So, its all about different preferences and I think that this is what makes GA so awesome... it gives a lot of opportunities to a lot of different kind of relationships.
And getting back to mark/lexie, I don't think many of us expected it...but I am thoroughly enjoying it as I find them fresh and full of chemistry.
and as for now, I am just super happy to hear that mark/lexie will have more screentime.

Lex told Mark they only had a very slim chance of making it as a couple.
I just wish they would examine Lexie's relationship with Meredith a bit more. Lexie had the childhood Meredith would have wanted. Lex is living at Mer's house, and their dad has sort of apologised for what he did when he was a drunk. But Mer was only polite in telling him she wished him well. Lex was so happy that things could get back to normal between her and her dad. But Merexie have never really had much on screen time together.
If PD is having time off for filming his movie, maybe Mer could have a storyline with Lexie

LOL I'm not a Mallie fan. Mexie just sucks. Lexie is an annoying little girl who stutters and acts like she is 10. I can't stand her at all, and Eric and Chyler have zero chemistry.
So what, if you go on Youtube or fanforum, or even here, Gizzie has tons and tons of fans too and they still got dropped because they were supposedly so hated.
And I know a lot more Gizzie fans than Mexie, and they post on more places too.
From what I have gathered, Mexie has very few fans but they are pretty rabid and post all the time to make them seem more.
But on all the big sites, like TWOP and ABC, they are totally hated and people are starting to hate Mark because of it.
Thee fans are the evry small minority for sure.

to all those people who dislike lexie, as someone else mentioned maybe its because u all like callie n mark. But, I personally feel that mark n callie make good friends and the chemistry they share as friends in GA esp. in season 5 was good...
N about mark/lexie, I remember reading somewhere that quite a lot of people are in favor of this pair and youtube is one of those places where u can see that there are a lot of slexie fans. neways, I love Mark/Lexie and I just hope that season 6 has more to offer.... :D

I don't know why they try with more interns when didn't know what to do with lexie's partners.
And erica, sadie(?), dixon, arizona, owen(he's great, sometimes too much mcarmy, but I forgive him, he's so nice to cristina. Derek was a b%%%%rd with meredith in season 2), they were 4 new doctors and 1 bye bye, it is too much for me
about lexie, she isn't my favourite (I like her at the end of 4 season with george, and sometimes 5, the with ms shepherd and meredith and with mark in the 1º, 2º and 3º). At first, callie didn't like anybody although she has fans now. Moreover she and mark are a horrible couple, they only work as friends for me
I hope shonda and her team don't destroy sloan and bailey this season (they weren't themselves for half 5 season)
sorry for all that, but I think new interns or doctors are a bad idea (maybe one for "cardio - Defence Against the Dark Arts"), there are enough characters in the show to replace with their stories t

I mean that's one of the most popular reasons people use it . porn and complaining !

Yes Addie was 39 in GA S3. She and Der were married for 11 years. Sloan said he had been a boyhood friend of Der', but the GA writers got lazy again by getting Mer to say to Der 'Mark's been your friend for twenty years'.
Lex said she was 24, S5. I think Mer is 31ish. She went to Dartmouth to train to be a Dr after she got back from travelling around Europe when she was 25. Four years of med school and two years of being a resident would make her 31, doesn't it???
I think Der must be around 40ish, he must have been around the same age as his ex wife?

I can,t stand Mark and Lexie. Lexie, the little stuttering stupid girl, is ruining Mark.
Most fans cannot stand them at all, so why is she continuing with them? She dropped Gizzie when they got hate and they had so many more fans than this insipid pairing, so why is she forcing them on us? They are not adorable. They are not cute. They are disgusting.
The only person Lexie worked with was george, so I will never get why they were dropped in fsavour of Mexie, a couple 95% of the fans hate.

I m super happy to hear that there's gonna be more screen time for mark/lexie. I love them both and I can't wait for season 6.....
the age thing might be a problem, I dunno but I really really love mark and lexie together and I m seriously hoping that they make it!!!!

Um...when was stated that Mark was a year younger than Derek and Addie? As far as I know, they're all the same age since it was never said that Mark is younger than Derek.
I checked the ABC character bios and nothing is said about them...

So what you're trying to say is that Lexie is immature. So right about that. But Mama Shepherd was right when she said that Mark was an immature man too but he is growing up while Lexie is staying behind.

CLEARLY in the 2nd season 6 promo we see the return of Cristina the stripper.
UNLESS the "dry spell" (let's face it, not gonna happen) starts sometime afterwards, I just don't see it.

Not that I am complaining about more Derek (yay), but didn't we already explore him as a doctor and see extraordinary medical stories with the medical trial and the whole pregnant-woman-dying thing? Then he got all winy, so I hope it's not going there. Otherwise, I am very excited to see that happen :)

In my opinion that people don't watch their own show
firstly, lexie is about 25, she's a grown woman, I don't know in usa but in europe is more than a woman, other thing is people don't like the caracther (and I loved mark-addison by the way). Moreover she is crazy for sloan one day and another she can't live with him, come on! don't make me laugh
they don't respect the timeline but don't mind when it is the caracther you like: derek is older than meredith about eleven, that's a lot too, you can have a wonderful idea about them on tv, but in real life there are 11 or 12 years in the middle
and derek-mark, they know each other from childhood, but in 5x20 meredith said they had been friends for 20 years and they were about 30 or more if they are in their forties

Yeah, I hope that Mark/Lexie will make it! Love them!
And about there age, after the official character bio.
Lexie will turn 25 really early in the next season, and Mark is heading for 40(he is a year younger than Addison and Derek, even though they graduate the same year).
Oh, and for my opinion, 25 is middle-twenties,and not early twenties.
And this whole age-thing-problem came from the middle of nowhere, I mean in the 21th episode Lexie wanted Mark to met her dad, in the 22th episode there was just a few second of them from the weeding, where they were cuddling and looking extremely happy and in the 23th episode, she started to talk about a 10 years-plan, so it's kinda a strange turn from her side. But I am sure they will figure it out, and by the way when does Mark acted his?
Oh and just a mention, Eric Dane"aka Marc" is 36, and the youngest of the WHOLE MALE cast. And 3rd youngest, after Chyler-"aka Lexie"(27)and Heigl-"aka Izzie"(31), of the whole Grey's Anatomy cast.
