George gone..ok. Meredith for a while..hmm ok. Izzie gone after she survived cancer and married Alex..are you kidding me? All three in the same time it's too much. But we didn't see it yet. Maybe they'll figured out how to do it in a best way like always.

Please don't bash people who say that they are frustrated with all the new doctors that are coming in. No one said the actors are not allowed to have different projects or have babies, or whatever, but I think that we can be disappointed with all these new characters coming to the show when they were not needed before. Grey's was wonderful with the beginning cast that they had; they didn't need anything else.
Anuflas, I think you and I have the same thoughts.. except you're not too fond of Katie Heigl :P

I'm the kind of person who HATES new characters in all the TV shows I watch ... (except of Hunt).
When new characters comes in, this is what I say while watching the show: "I don't want to see you! You're not the reason I'm watching this show! Oh my god this person is sooo annoying! Enough already! Go Away! Aargh why don't I have a DVR?!"

I miss the first two seasons, it was SO good back then. It's still Good, donät get me wrong, but It won't be the same without T.R Knight... And I miss Kate Walsh, Hope there is more of those episode when Ellen isn't around as much. That Baylie r going too LA in the start of the season. But I think that when this chock bout george death couls down, I think it's gonna be great again, but never as it was before. And I agree, could be fun too have anither show that goes on and on as ER or Friends did.

I'm not that excited about the start of season 6 and this is the first time thats happened to me.The reason I love the show was the chemistry between the core characters.I'm not interested in new characters.I don't think this show should be another ER. The storylines should be wrapped up at the end of the show and not continue on and on like ER. I stopped watching ER about season 4 because I simply coun't identify with the new characters. Please don"t do this the Greys.

Actually it is their fault TR left. They totally wasted his talent and used him 30 seconds. He quit because of them, and now they are bringing in so many new characters, another characetr will be backburnered and another actor will quit.
George and GI were the only things I still cared about on Grey and seeing the direction it

I'm honestly not hating on grey's either because there are so many other characters on the show. I just don't think there should be 3 new characters in one season maybe one or two per season so the writers need to work on that.
Now KH can do whatever she wants it's her life and if she wants to move ahead let her. I can't judge her attitude because I don't know her and I don't always pay attention to the media. It was actually very generous of GA to let her take 5 weeks off to shoot (AND PRODUCE!) her new movie but I won't believe her character gets fired or laid off until I see it for myself. Izzie is one of my favorite characters and if KH wants to be let out of her contract or they fire her and Izzie goes in some way,I'll be devastated but I'll continue watching grey's for the other characters and storylines.
Now if EP goes then grey's is over (she's the main title character and Lexie CANNOT REPLACE HER) but she should enjoy her maternity leave and come back when she's ready.

GA isn't creating hate feelings on me at all, I can ensure you. I love it and count the days for the beginning of season 6.
Anyways, I think Heigl will be fired sooner or later if she doesn't change her attitudes. I LOVE Izzie, so I really don't want her to be gone from GA, but seriously... Katherine's been showing an disrespectful behavior I think.

The term is 'laid off'. I'm not sure how different it is from firing but due to her lack of being in the OR (even before the cancer had been diagnosed 'officially')it could be a cause. PEOPLE said that Shonda and Co. won't be revealing the plot so it can change. I think Izzie will be back but in the Clinic. I don't see her anywhere else.
Second thing, no one here is whining that EP is pregnant or that KH has to leave for a movie. They can do whatever they want. I hope that EP takes as much time as she thinks she needs and I will miss her terribly.
The concern that most people have is the direction that the show is taking. A lot of this is to see if the show can survive past the original characters but by the perception that has gotten, it's not a positive answer. It's kinda hard to bond with the new characters when the old ones haven't been developed and excuse me, but that doesn't mean that the people who don't agree with this new direction aren't GA fans or that they'll stop w

Look people. Just because T.R. Knight left, resulting in George getting killed, is not a reason to stop watching the show. If Izzie gets fired, so what? She comes back doesn't she? And it's not Shonda's fault that Ellen Pompeo got pregnant. I think that is fantastic, even if it means her being gone for a while. And if Patrick Dempsey wants to shoot a movie, it's not the end of the world. God. You people are talking about Grey's Anatomy like what they are doing is the END OF THE WORLD. Let me assure you. It is not. And if you are going to complain and say "This is f**king ridiculous!" then DON'T READ THE SPOILERS! It will just ruin your impression of the show and make you hate it before you even give season 6 a chance. All of the other seasons have been good, why not have some faith in this one?

Why can't they leave the characters in the show? I was watching "vintage" season 3. I loved it because all the Main characters were there, including my favorites, Meredith, Alex, George, Izzie, Christina, Derek, and Addison. Loved it. Now it's just more and more confusing every episode.

I agree completely with GreysGal! And there is something that I am questioning.... if the firing thing is true, how cruel could the people "firing" Izzie be, she'd be a woman just getting remission from her cancer. If it happens, I don't think it would be realistic, a leave of absence would be, but not getting fired.

yeah, thanks george! that's exactly what im thinking.. true fans support the show no matter what happens! It's not anyone's fault ellen is pregnant, thats great, congratulations to her, she's not going to stop her life because she's an actress. And Katherine isn't leaving, she's just doing more stuff, and TR wanted to leave. it's nobodys fault. let's just support the show we all grew to love.

I really wish that Shonda would make a decision to let the show end when the lead actors' contracts expire. Next season, is it? There could be one last, well planned season that leads to a definite end of all the storylines. As a fan from Day 1, I would appreciate that much more than trying to completely re-invent the series every few years.

The reason I started the show is because of the the great original characters, the chemistry. The first two seasons were gold! And now, one of the Fab 5 is dead and two others are gonna be missing for a lot of episodes. And more new people, great. It'll be so over crowded, a George incident will probably just happen again, where we see someone for 30 secons and episode.

Woow wtf were they thinking when they let KH taek 5 episodes off when it'll overlap with EP's absence and TRK is already gone???? thats 3 of the 5 originals gone!!! Of all the new characters added since the show began, the only one I've liked is Addison, and she's gone now too. SR may be as conent as a cucumber to go on with new characters and fit storylines that squeeze out the originals, but I sure as h*ll am not.

as long as Cristina and Owen are left alone I am happy. Besides I am looking forward to seeing a story line based on Derrick and the others I have had enough of Izzy the past couple of seasons I wish her well
