Major Guest Star News: Edward Norton to Appear on Modern Family

A member of our staff has already seen the pilot episode for Modern Family and couldn't be more excited about the new sitcom.

Until the latest casting news, that is.

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that two-time Oscar nominee Edward Norton will guest star on an episode of the ABC series.

The actor will appear on a November installment of the show, portraying the bassist of a famous band that Claire (Julie Bowen) hires as an anniversary present for husband Phil (Ty Burrell). Turns out that Norton and Burrell are long-time friends.
