It makes perfect sense...we are genetically wired to feel the need to Mate when faced by death.. especially when the deceased is younger than old...its Biological..its our DNA telling us to replace what we have lost Paired with a Giant dose of life is short and turns on a moment...besides its the only way they could have George at the wedding.

Ah, Meredith Grey getting married at a funeral. If that's what's going to happen, it's irony at its finest.

Oh, come on, Anja! I loved Santa Barbara weddings...:P Are we talking about the tv show?
I think if the post-it wedding is "wedding" enough for them, it's ok...

I thought the same thing as Stacey. Although I'm not sure how since Mer isn't religious.
Or maybe the priest just gives them some sort of reassurance that they don't need a ceremony or whatever to have a commitment or a marriage.
Anja, LOL. I wasn't a huge fan of the post it but loved what it meant. I think that the issue is not the wedding itself but the legality of the marriage. To me, it's the only thing left to resolve.

Wouldn't it be smart for them(Merder)to realize, hey, the priest is standing in front of us why not make it legal, that way we have it out of our way. Although that would be tacky because they are doing it after a funeral. Haha..a merder fan can only hope

Hmmmmmmmm...So do you think they would ask the priest to marry them privately after the funeral ceremony. Weird, but it was my first thought when I read that comment,

I'm getting SOOO annoyed with the "perfect white fluffy crappy wedding" Mer and Der were supposed to have. Quit it already. The post-it wedding was exactly what it should be. I don't want a big white wedding! It doesn't suit them.
It's not frickin' Santa Barbara for god's sake! :P
