Discuss "Give Peace a Chance" in our Grey's Anatomy Forum!

Tonight's Grey's Anatomy, "Give Peace a Chance," is all about Derek. Which we imagine will prove quite popular. But our man is certainly under the gun from the beginning.

When he learns that a Seattle Grace employee has a near-fatal tumor, Derek wants to operate anyway, to do whatever he can. Richard, of course, is standing in the way.

In essence, McDreamy is fighting two battles tonight, the first to save lab tech Isaac's life, despite the very long odds, and the other against the Chief's dwindling authority.

For a primer on this evening's intense episode, follow these links to see the previews and pictures we've posted, plus the Grey's Anatomy spoilers we've been compiling.

Then discuss with fellow Grey's fans in our More Chaos?

Will McDreamy save the day? Who's with him and who's against him? Is the Chief just a figurehead at this point? How will this developing power struggle play out?

What do you think and hope will happen on tonight's Grey's Anatomy?

Hello, I'm new to this community + just had the urge to introduce myself and say "hello". Finally a solid forum with topics that I can stare at - which is rare to find! I am here to learn and get involved. How can I best get involved? Laters Ya'll...

I LOVED this episode, so far the best in this season I think. My reasons?
- Chandra's directing kicked ass
- McDreamy kicked ass
- Lexie screaming at Derek and the diaper stuff was sooo good
- LESS MERCY WESTERS, WOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!:) And they kept the two MW's I can actually grow to like (Reed and Jackson)
- Alex's behaviour reminded me of his season 1-2 dirty uncle Sal-mode, which I also liked
- The fact that the SG staff stood as a team behind Derek and even disobeyed the Chief
- Meredith and Derek's late-night tumor consultation ...and I could go on and on. Absolutely fantastic episode. I only wish Christina would get back to her hardcore kickass heart surgeries. LOVED.IT.

i think Meredith is coming back in the next episode, i think

I loved that episode! The scene in the bedroom where they are discussing the surgery and he turns the bed around and starts drawing on the wall gave me chills! It was one of those moments for me where I thought wow they get each other!

to margalit...isaac was played by Faran Tahir... I just recall him as the dude that played a captain on the Star Trek film...hes a fairly good actor... as for the episode... it was good..mcdreamy time is always good...does anyone know when the episodes that actually have mer back at the hospital will start showing?!?!?

I did like the previous episode more than this one, it was way to different, and unusual which is not good

He kicked ass. McDreamy kicked ass.

Chandra Wilson's directorial debut was, to put it plainly, awesome. I liked this episode a lot. Just the right mix of humor, drama, romance, etc.
The Crowen scene at the end was super hot.
Both the MD scenes were really cute, especially him falling asleep on her chest--sweet!
I love Lexie. Just putting that out there. I would totally wear a diaper for Derek Shepherd.
The Alex thing was so sad! Although it troubles me that a show without Izzie, who used to be one of my favorite characters, doesn't bother me. I actually thought the Alex/Reed stuff was cool.
Dr. Avery's eyes are heaven. Even if he is a douche.
That is all.

Great Episode!! Chandra Wilson did a GREAT job directing! Does anyone know the speach that Issac gave Derek after the first surgery? It was so inspiring.

The episode was intense kept you wondering what was going to happen next poor Derek threw up due to being dehydrated the chief shouldn't of said Derek was fired even though he disobeyed him the surgery was a success and he should be thankful for that i felt bad for Alex having to wait for Izzie and her not showing up loved the episode :)

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Derek: I wanna be with you forever, and you wanna be with me forever. In order to do that we need to make vows. A commitment. A contract. Give me a piece of paper.
Meredith: I don't! I... I... I don't. I have post its!
Derek: (takes the post its and a pen) Ok. What do we wanna promise each other?
Meredith: That you'll love me... even when you hate me.
Derek: To love each other, even when we hate each other. (writes it down) No running. Ever! (Mer smiles and comes and sits in front of him) Nobody walks out. No matter what happens.
Meredith: No running.
Derek: (writes it down) What else?
Meredith: That we'll take care of each other, even when we're old, and smelly, and senile. And... if I get Alzheimer's and forget you...
Derek: I will remind you who I am, every day. To take care when old, senile, and smelly (writes it down) This is forever. (signs it) Sign.
Meredith: This is our wedding. A post it? (smiles)
Derek: Mhmmm. If you sign it.
Meredith: (signs it, and hands it back. Has tears in her eyes) Now what?
Derek: Now I kiss the bride. (They kiss)
Meredith: (smiling) Married.
Derek: (smiling) Married. (sticks their post it in Mer's locker) You see that? (Mer nods and smiles) Plenty of time.
