I agree - too many changes too fast. Too many new characters. Who adds that many characters to a hit show in 1 episode? Shonda what are you doing? Please, make it all go away, make them go away....chemistry can't be changed so fast - it's simple science.

I agree that it was an interesting episode. Most of the attendings were MIA because they didn't have anything to do with that patient. But, I'm enjoying this season because it isn't just 1 or 2 characters taking up every storyline every week.

My family thought it was very creative in showing the same events from various points of view, and we rewound our DVR and watched it a second time to catch all the fast-paced details.

OK...I loved it!! It was different! I loved hearing the different stories from the doctors. Just because mer/der is not all the show talks about does not make it bad. After 6 years you have to mix it up a bit to keep things interesting.

awesome episode.. They had to come up with something new, it was incredibly creative.. Why are so many people hating on this season.. Shonda said it would be more focused on certain people each week, they are trying something new, if it doesn't work then it doesn't work, has shonda let you down yet though through the 5 previous seasons??

Of all the new merger doctors, April was the nicest. I think Charles should have gone since he got Izzy fired! And I think that they chief could have been nicer when he fired her, at least he was with Izzy. Not the best episode. I miss Mer so much!! Please come back soon!!

Loved this episode. It was different and made you think. I think sometimes we get caught up in the soap operaness of grey's.
My mom and sister who haven't seen it in a while were able to enjoy this episode, because it wasn't the same old and didn't require you to know everything that has gone on before.
I like how they snuck the drama of Alex and Izzie in there, "I hung up the phone" that was fantastic. I think this was a great episode, because it gave us Grey's fans a chance to be more than just soap opera viewers.

Best episode for me! i was fed up with the same stories between the characters, thanks God so many action! i thought that in this season we'll see the characters having sex in the operation room while operating, but it seems it's a little bit more medical, and i like it. Just my opinion!.

I was very disappointed by the lack of attendings in this episode, and really No Callie/Arizona together scenes, I guess last week was too much for people so they went back to the old ways.

There's normally a point when GA stops showing new episodes, cos of the filming schedules. Will there be a break after episode 7?
Bailey and Derek were very low profile this episode, preparing for Patrick's big episode and Chandra's directorial debut I guess
Thanks Jude. It’s TV, OK, but they can do better and we deserve better! :)

Mari you are absolutely correct in all your listed points. The episode had a different feel and was very focused in the er. And more time has passed.
Why I didn’t like this episode? I could say simply because it hasn’t Meredith and Derek enough. But truly? It wasn’t this.
The problem is: A patient die and we need an interrogation process to know why?
1 – Karev worked with Owen in 5x20 and he was in charge of the ER that day. George reported to him. 5x22 Callie was in charge and Owen said to George that trauma is a team sport. He could save the patient’s life because he had George to cover for him. Today no one was in charge. And still there’s no chief resident.
2 - I wasn’t surprised. I’ve seen a lot from ER and all GA to know better about how critical is to missing something in the initial patient examination. I saw April miss it. So no mystery.
3 – April did the firsts charts notes. Her name was at the chart first. It was her patient initially. Richard asked to Owen “Who got the chart first?”but he should just look at the chart and see it was April. Didn’t need to ask.

Terrible episode. It just didn't work. And firing the girl from Everwood after 2 episodes? Too much medical mumbo jumbo and not enough people interaction. ( I get sad if I have to go a week without a good CalliZona moment.)

I think the whole show sucked. It wss quite a let down. I think whoever wrote that episode should be fired along with the 3 new actors. The merger should have never happen. That was to many new people at one time. There has been to much confussion adding these new people. Take down the freaking MWH and SGH sign and put back up the SGH sign. And fire them damn people or send them to Izzy's Clinic. Izzy hasn't been in the clinic for ages. Is it even still there?
