Grey's Anatomy Episode Guide: "Invasion"
Last night's Grey's Anatomy saw the world of Seattle Grace as we know it turned on its head. The Mercy Westers descended, wreaked havoc and one of our own got fired.
How long will Izzie Stevens be gone? Did she really leave Alex? These questions remain up in the air for now in the wake of her abrupt departure at the end of the episode.
Lexie, Alex and Cristina each did whatever they could to upstage their new Mercy West counterparts, with largely failed results. Our people are looking dazed and confused.
Elsewhere, Callie's dad returned to convert her, but he was the one who saw the light. Bailey's patient was almost killed by Izzie, driving her to L.A. and Private Practice.
For the full rundown of events last night, here's our recap of "Invasion."
Richard lets Izzie go. She does not take the news well.

What on earth is happening?
This is not grey's any more, it' sth else.
I fast forwarded the whole time.

Why haven't any of the Mercy west people been fired?
Well not as many as the Grey's anatomy cast anyhow!
It's just so annoying that just as you think the show might be improving it gets terrbile again.
I can see why people might find this episode good but SERIOUSLY?!?!?!? they have not been watching this from season one.
It's just so sad. :'(
Please get better storylines!!!!

Wow what a disastrous episode and very disappointing. What happened to this show? All the regulars seem to have undergone a drastic personality change, and not for the better. They used to be a strong, passionate bunch. Now they act like idiots and wimps.
And what on earth happened to the chief??!! He used to be one of my favorite characters! Now he just sits in his office and doesn't talk to anyone all day.
Shonda, you and the writers are ruining the show!
This season has been really boring so far, and for me to say that is a huge thing! I have watched devotedly for year. But if it doesn't improve soon... get a little more realistic, I'll stop watching.

To the people complaining about the lack of Mark, now you know how the George fans felt the entire last season.

Worse Episode of Greys. I fast forwarded through almost all of it. What a huge disapointment. Greys isn't meant to be an ER - it's meant to be a Friends. Original cast with guest stars - not cast turnovers. Izzy would never just walk out on Alex - she's not a note woman. I'm not a writer and I could think of a better storyline of how to get rid of Izzy for 5 episodes then have her write a stupid note and just leave.

This was the worst episode yet. What was all that unstable emotional commotion about? The new actors did not enhance the show, it made it sink even worse (it started to sink with the reappearance of Denny)
Callie & Arizona are cute together but the whole blow up with Callie's daddy went a bit too far. In reality most parent-child relationships would not have recovered within one episode.
I felt like Christina..sad and out of sorts with everything. I miss Burke too!
I have my hands on the GA plug and the connection has started to break. PP is more entertaining than GA.

Friday mornings in my office are always spent discussing the previous nights GA. Yep, it was unanamous, nobody liked any of the characters from the Mercy West merger. And, we all agreed the best part of the show was Callie and her father finally being reunited because it was the only part of the show that was a true Grey's Anatomy scenario. The entire rest of the show was nothing but crap and a waste of time.
Why fire Izzie? Why not send her off on a honeymoon with Alex or to some foreign country to be magically cured of her cancer? WTF?
Too many changes are taking place and it seems there is not one single person in my office who likes the new direction the show is going in. (NBC's Trauma is looking like the new show my office will be tuning into)
Here is a thought for your next episode.........Mer wakes up from this horrible nightmare after surgery to find out it has all been a dreadful dream.

The only redeming factors out of the whole episode were the Arizona/Callie storyline, Sandra Oh, maybe Justin Chambers... the rest of it was a bust - There was no Owen/Christina, barely any MerDer, barely anything resembling the old GA. In
Australia we don't get TV shows immediately and Grey's new season hasn't even started here. I actually forgot about watching grey's this week, until Sunday. I used to watch it the first available moment it was published on the net, but now... Not so much

Sarah,
Izzie didn't look at the tests, she just smashed them on the table and gave the dialysis instructions.
Charlie didn't set her up, that I have to give him. The thing that I can't recall is if Charlie was there when she gave the dialysis instructions, because if he was then he could also be hold liable for not correcting Izzie.

aaarrrgghhh i hate the chief, he did the merger just because he still wanna be the chief. and he can't fire izzie and told her that alex talked something about her..
as i remember the insider said that someone's gonna get fire again next week is that right?
and where is mark sloan?
