I totally agree Emma, thank you for taking the time to say that. I will be watching this episode over and over. I really hope Grey's isnt ending. I watch CSI: but I find myself while watching it that I want to watch GA instead. I loved Arizona's speech to Callie's dad, it was awesome, I am glad we got to know where her name comes from, and I hope we get to know some more about her in the future. Someone who updates this site needs to put up more pics of her and quotes, and update about Callie too.

Ratings are 13.61 million this week again, down 1 million from last year.

I wonder what it is due to. I know many George fans have quit, so is it that or are fans falling out of love with Grey or is it both?

Seriously that is supposed to be Grey’s Anatomy?
It is obviously not. The creators changed way too many things way too fast and instead of interesting medical drama now we get a chopped into annoyingly short set of scenes that suppose to make a sense and frankly they do not.
Focusing on what the latest episode brought we got a bunch of new residents that should allow the series to run for the who knows how many more seasons but actually does Grey’s Anatomy need additional four characters to make it run at the present? Obviously it does not as there are a huge number of characters from residents to attendings. Honestly if GA makes past season six and they start to run short on people then hiring new actors should not be that difficult but such an idea seemed to fail to get into show runners’ brains.
Furthermore the plotline behind the episode – we have “invaders” who equals “bad ones” against “hosts” who are “good ones” and obviously “bad ones” win with

As a huge Gizzie fan, I was thrilled to see Izzie so torn up about him being gone. I always thought he was her true love and the person she loved the most. My heart broke for her, because I miss George just as much as her.

It did seem rather cruel to have the SGH residents to fall so flat on their faces everytime they tried to be Drs. Was there any of the residents that SGH residents that didn't end up crying?

I am NOT surprised that the chief email firing method has come back to bite, go Dr Megan. Unfair dismissal due to preganancy was an obvious ploy for the writers. Now lets hope nurse Olivia will sue cos she was fired cos she's a union member.

From what I've seen of this episode I think the writers have misjudged how they have handled this major change of direction for GA. It was too cruel to the residents we have invested in for the six seasons. Yes,s tir things up, but this was OTT

I'm a huge Izzie fan, so I was and am clearly beyond pissed last night and today. This is no way to spend your birthday if you ask me. I hate so much what they're doing to Izzie's character, she has been through and is going through more than anyone is on Grey's. It's BS and they have taken everything imaginable away from her character to the point that she doesn't even have anyone to go to or turn to. She can't go to her BFF George because they killed him and took him away from her, she can't go to her only family member (her mother) because they made they're relationship distant and estranged and finally now they have taken Alex from her. They are my favorite couple and one of the only reasons I watch GA. I have waited 5 seasons for them to actually be together happily and now this. Seriously! Come on people, she left him in a freakin' note. They are MARRIED not in junior high going steady. How can a relationship...a marriage at that.. come back from a break-up in a note. Wil

I thought that having some new faces in Grey's would take it back to where it was before season 4. But now after witnessing that episode, I'm sad to say that I'm getting a bit fed up by all these new faces and I'm getting more and more disinterested in Grey's. I caught the little line about Burke, but I also saw the absence of Eric Dane as well. I'd rather know more about Sloan than those orange cheerleaders from Mercy West. I really think the writers have gone TOO far with this story line because I thought the episode really sucked! I am presently watching the old seasons, because they're far better quality than the current season.

It strikes me as strange that the writing in Grey's had begun to nose dive, right around the time that Private Practice began. Just a thought!

I saw some excellent acting! Christina, Arizona and Callie.
I do not like what they are doing with The Chief! I agree, that so many people to hate are too many! I really didn't miss McSteamy but I am sure he will be back next week. I also agree that Izzy Stephens would not leave Alex without giving him what for first! I will not be looking forward to the show much longer if Izzy is gone for good. I would like to beleive that she could be head of HER clinic!

I wait all week to see this show and cannot wait for the next show, BUT I couldn't wait for the "invasion" to end. There were too many new characters and it just didn't make sense. It was agonizing to watch. I hope it gets better-if not there really is no reason for me to waste my Thursdays on crap.

  11. laura

It would be a disaster to the show if IZZie leaves for good. She srt up the free clinic!!!
Seattle Grace needs a huge financial donation to settle our nerves.

  12. Emma

Oh, and my FAVORITE scene was Callie's Jesus quotes. That was amazing, and one of my favorite moments in Grey's ever, I think. I am a Christian, but I don't agree with how the church.. religion in general, really.. handles homosexuality the way they do. More often then not, people react like Callie's dad initally did.. and they quote the same quotes that he did as well.

And before Callie's speech, I was starting to get nervous and a bit aggravated that they were painting christianity, and spirituality in such a negative light with them ONLY showing the bigotry that Callie's dad had against her, and in the name of God.

But I started tearing up when Callie started quoting Jesus and talking about his loving, forgiving, merciful heart, and the fact that he himself was walked amongst and was friends with the thiefs, prostitutes, beggars, and homosexuals, and that he did not judge. He just loved. He is not about condemning people to hell and judgement. He is a God of love and mercy, a

I don't like any of the new actors...I felt absolutely nothing for any of them. I don't care what happens to them as long as they are GONE SOON!!!

Scenes with Mer & any of the originals were AWESOME, especially Mer/Der & Mer/Chris. The last scene was heartbreaking & funny...loved all three in it. Even Lexie was better tonight (although she'll never replace Mer)

I noticed also no Mark Sloan & acually I prefer Lexie w/out him.

Hopefully these idiot newcomers will be gone soon so I don't have to be!

  15. Emma

Okay, I have to admit, yeah... there are a lot of plot holes. To me it is completely unrealistic that they wouldn't yet have a full time, stable head of cardio around, or any cardio attendings at all. There obviously has to be some, why can't Cristina learn from one of them. And what about Addison's field? In the 4th season she even told the chief 'You need to get someone to fill my position'. Yeah, that hasn't happened yet... And I realize that neo natal is a specialized field, but what about fetal surgery in general? Alex showed a real promise for that field under Addison's guiding hand, and now.. nothing.

And Mari makes another great point, about attendings fighting for positions as well. If a hospital is merging, EVERY doc is on the line... I realize that maybe introducing even more new docs on top of the bomb of them that they already dropped would have been a bit overwhelming... but there was no talk of the attendings being even slightly worried for their jobs. Mercy West has

this was an uncomfortable episode to watch. to many people to hate at once. making the regulars look this bad is bad writing. I agree that maybe CSI is looking better. never thought i'd see the day that i would consider not watching anymore but that's how much i did not enjoy watching last night. I won;t be staying home thursday nights anymore if this is the direction things are going.

I was a little dissapointed in last night episode=/. I seriously hate the Mercy West people especially the female that was working with Alex!! They were making our favourite characters look like an idiot and I hated that and I hope they are working for a few episodes only!! I loved Callie's performance...so awesome. And I really felt for Cristina, she made me cry!! I loved Meredith as always she was great although for a few minutes. The only scene of MerDer was cute but come on.. we deserve more than just seconds!! Seriously!!! And there wasn't any Mark in the episode either=[ And Omg Iz left Alex, this is going to cause serious problems between them!
Tending scene with Alex, Cris and Mer was beautiful. 'Go hug him'!! Omg from 5 people they are only 3 now!! [until Izzie come back]

We saw a lot of new MW people, residents, staff. Ok. But how about attendings? No attendings from MW? Derek is the head of Neuro and he has Nelson (Shadow Shepherd) working with him. Bailey is now a general surgeon as the chief. Callie is an orthopedic attending but the head is that dinosaur guy we heard about when she quit. Every area should have a few attendings and one of them as head. And the new guys should come to reinforce the respective areas, shouldn’t they? And fight for positions as well.
And Cardio!!! Which apparently has no one else! Or Cristina can only learn with the head of the department? Seriously?

I am very disappointed with some of the writing. The story lines last night were just OK. The Gay / religious issues addressed were very cool... However, If I am ever in a hospital where such immature behavior is being displayed I will go out of my way to complain and get those people suspended... I am so sick of the immature behavior that they write in for these characters on this show... The producers are trying to hard to play it both ways; serious medical drams with hear wrenching , tear jerking moments AND THEN silly, silly child like behavior that is sooooooooooooo schmaltzy it just makes me want to change the channel...

Smallville is about super heroes and totally based on kid phantasy stuff yet, this show show continues to get darker, with some serious production values... Nurse Jackie is bases is far more reality based than Grey's Anatomy...

WHY DOES EVERY SHOW ON ABC AS OF LATE SEEM SO SAPPY. DO THEY REALLY THINK AMERICA IS FULL DUMMIES THAT JUST ENJOY GOING TO SAND

I liked the newcomers and how they played into the storylines. It is a little immature, but I still liked the episode. I also think that Izzie is overwhelmed by everything she's been thru recently, and with a little tension between her & Alex, and Izzie is under the impression (given what the chief said) that Alex said something and is partially the reason why she was fired - I think I would need a break from everyone around me if I felt I had nothing left.

  22. Phoebe

This episode made me barfed in my mouth. Why can't they just give Christina her cardio surgery and make her awesome again? And firing Izzie?? I've never liked her, but she's one of the original casts! The newcomers are downright annoying. And what happened to the heat between Callie and Arizona? It seemed like they have evaporated. Bottom line, this episode sucks big time. I can't believe I spent the whole week getting excited for this kind of crap.

  23. Camille

Oh, Cconklin notice as much as I.
It better be good that they give us an explanation in the next episode for that.

  24. Rick

This was the worst episode since the beginning. The Grace drs. looked like a bunch of spoiled children. The Mercy drs. acted like invading aliens. If the writers don't get back to the basics of good medicine mixed with relationships, I won't watch it again.

  25. Camille

Does anybody notice that there wasn't a single scene with Mark Sloan? Why? I seriously don't understand!

By the way, I LOVE the episode! The scene with Cristina.. God! So heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. And I have to admite: I DON'T LIKE MERCY WEST PEOPLE!
