I don't think that Derek can screw up this time. He already had too many failures (Jenn, first 12 patient of clinical trial, etc.) and failing to the Chief in this specific time would make the Chief look right and he can't be. Somebody has to put him in his place and if Derek succeeds in this surgery, he gets the upper hand. So far, Derek has challenged Richard but this would put him on top.
How loving that Mer is checking with Cristina to see how Derek is doing.

If you notice a scene in the promo, where he's in bed, I assume it's placed at the end of the episode. He looks sober and without a hangover. I guess no drinking this time. :P

I 'm afraid that Derek doesn't save his patient and tha chief dismisses him...Because Derek 's bringing up in operating theatre!!!!I hope this no happen, i'm worried for that 'll happen in this episode... after Derek-centric then MerDer-centric i wait.

Have all the interns disappeared, surely there should be interns? Lex is now a 2nd year resident and I presume that the trio of MW docs are residents too, but what year. I need to understand the pecking order of where everyone is in their residency.
I know Ellen banked some scenes so that she was in all the GA episodes, but does anyone know if these banking scenes will include episode 8? When will we see Mer as a doc again?

OMG!!! He has that same wild ass look on his face he had when he killed Jen and cussed out Addison. The other doc's need to hit the liquor store and get a six pack and head to the woods. I'm sure that is where they will find him getting drunk and tearing up the post-it wedding. LOL!!!

ABC hasn't been known for good promos. Even so, official doubts that Derek has had was for Izzie's surgery, since Jen was all about correcting his mistake and Archer was to find a way to operate.

This takes the cake for the crappiest, full of bulldung promo ever to be released by GreysAnantomy. “Never cracked” – Does Jen, Izzme and Addison’s brother ring a bell. He had to pep talked into those surgeries and had his ego brushed by Addison.
I hope the episode is better than the promo. PD and CW have the talent to pull it off but the promo idiots are at it again

I cannot wait that Chandra directs Patrick in this episode .Sheperd's Anatomy i 'm so happy now.Derek fights with the CHIEF for surgery.When the bailey must surgery an inoperable child ,the chief helps Miranda to operate.Now with Derek ,he doesn't do the same thing ,i don't understand him...
