Grey's Anatomy Promo: "Invasion"
Seattle Grace is getting ready to merge with Mercy West, which means more new residents coming in and competing for the same jobs with our gang. Like it or not, the first promo for next week's show suggests one of our own could be on the chopping block. Gulp.
Who do you think will get cut, if anybody? Are you excited for any of the new faces coming to Grey's Anatomy this season? What do you make of this merger story line in general?

In what podcast did SR said that? I've heard them but from what she has been tweeting, converting GA to ER isn't her plans.
I recall SR saying that due to the personal leaves that the actors were taking that she had to do a series transitional episodes in case the decision of leaving permanently but she didn't say about turning into ER. Even so, GA's focus is different from ER's so it'd be challenging to change that, especially after six seasons.

I understood your point but it seems a little far fetched (no offense). From the five interns, Izzie has been showing the least consistency in surgery or surgical procedures. Sure, due to her cancer, she suffered a huge set back but I think that the Chief is going to judge in general performance, not the recent events.

I think some might have misunderstood my first comment. What I was trying to say is that I think The Chief will cut someone that's a huge surprise like Cristina or someone no one's expecting and then Izzie will step up and have him cut her instead. So, I know it'll be Izzie that gets cut but I don't think it was initially supposed to be her.

I think it's Izzie leaving for a period of time mainly because she's doing the movie.....as far as Private Practice...I was thinking last season when the crossover happened that Bailey and Sam would make a cute couple and to see the promo of them kissing!!!! I was excited. I say bring Sam to GA, he's hot!

I listen to a pod cast of Shonda and Betsy and they said there is no plan to end the show after 7 yrs. They said it might be a show like ER and last for 15 yrs. I"de be thrilled as long as the originals are still on there. On that same pod cast they said that Burke's time come and went. That story was over. AND HE WOULD NOT BE BACK!!!!!!!!! From the interviews I've seen on that subject. None of the other actors wanna work with him. He had the argument with Patrick D and PD is one of the main people, so I don't think we will ever see the homophobe back. Least I hope not.
