Grey's Anatomy Promo: "Tainted Obligation"
Here is the first promo for next week's episode of Grey's Anatomy, "Tainted Obligation."
The premise is simple, but the decision could not be more loaded for Meredith Grey:
Thatcher Grey needs a transplant or he will die, and she, not Lexie, must provide it.
Does she owe him anything? Should she do it anyway, for Lexie's sake if nothing else?
Check out the promo and see what you think ...

I just remembered that with molly being a previous patient @ SGH they would have a record of her blood type.
Shonda said there would be a nice storyline for ellen to work on before her maternity leave, I'm not convinced this is that nice a one if lex is twisting Mer's arm so much to get her to donate. I'm not a big fan of Lex and this isn't helping me to change my mind.
Someone stated earlier that Mer will do this cos she will feel empathy for Lex or Thatch. Hope Lex develpos some empathy for what Mer has been through

i thin she should do it and lexie is in every right to ask her to do it because she cant help it but mer can't and is a human life, every one of us would beg to save our fathers life so lexie is no demanding to much or a spoild child she just loves her dad.

Totally, OT.
smoker,
Didn't knew you were Spanish. Sorry about loosing the Olympics but I am rooting for you guys to win the World Cup next year. :)
Back to the subject,
You're right, emotionally spoiled is a better term for Derek. I blame a lot on that in Addison, even though I love Addison. I really got to believe that their marriage was in serious problems long before Addie slept with Mark because both were like that.
I need more back story on Derek and Mark, like ASAP.
Cristina is a typical spoiled girl but with good ambitions. I think that's what sets her apart. A little too selfish for my taste but that can come out as funny sometimes.
The interaction with her mother was hilarious.

Anuflas, I actually think you're right.
I always thought christina was a bit spoiled, because everything she does, she does because it's better for herself.
Anyways, can't wait for the next episode (:

She totally should help Thatcher!
I don't really know what the deal is, couse the volume is screwed, but I always liked Thatcher, even when he delivered the big slab to Mer.
He's like this poor guy with no spine but a lot of sweetness. He needs her help to make it up to Meredith and Lexie for that matter:)

sorry for my english
to nina,
anuflas' is right, it was me, and I want to thank to anuflas for explain for me, I think that and I want to say something else:
moreover, cristina grew up in beverly hills, Izzie commented that once and do you remember her mother?
and although derek didn“t have a upper class till adult age, he was the younger in a nearly perfect home (except for his father lost) with 5 women taking care of him, and after that addie, emotionally"" derek has been pretty pretty spoiled, I love when his mother came and tell him that beautiful things about meredith being compassionate and the spoon
and I love cristina and derek characters, and I like them in that way, they are perfect with their imperfections"" and of course thats my opinion
to mari,
I don't know if you have seen my answer the other day, if you don't I let you know here again (and for last time, I promise)
I'm from spain

Nina,
smoker made the comment about Lexie being spoiled and also thought that Derek and Cristina were. I honestly never really thought of it until now.
I think that they might have been used to having a life where everything was handed out, or had it more easily, to them until they arrived at SGH and had some tough fights to overcome.
It was interesting to see it from that POV. I always thought of Derek and Cristina having some troubled childhood due to the loss of their fathers so abruptly at such a young age but they did have some sort of stability at the end.
Derek got into a very luxurious life and Cristina became an A straight student being used to be the best but fate at SGH played a different game.
I dunno. I got interested in the comment and saw it from that POV. :)
jude,
I'd like to see that interaction of Derek and Mark. I think Mark is ironically going to get on Mer's side since his parents never really had an interest on him either. This might be

Anuflas, wat do you mean with derek and christina being spoiled?
October 5th, 2009 11:13 AM
oh by the way. I almost forgot. it's like a miracle. the moment he needs her he arives... suprise.

i am totally upset. thatcher is a human being. just like everyone else. he had a life, he nerver cared about meredith, he never even tried to take care of her. he should wait for a donation but it's unbelivebal that he even asks his daughter for donation. he doesn't deserve it.
I am gonna be pretty disappointed of shonda if this is how she chose to leave ellen pompeo out. It is totally against my opinion. Shall someone else take care of thatcher, but not the one he left out.
Hoping it's gonna end better than this.
