Despite that i don't like Alex/Izzie as couple
( 0% chemistry), i accept them as married.
Now i read about potential romance with others!!!!
What are the writers problem with married couples.
Do they really think that adultery in a marriage is inevitable???
And actually i really don't want to see Izzie after Denny, George and Alex fall for a fourth guy.
And with her luck maybe Alex is the next to grave!!!

Now that Mer and Der and really together they need another “couple drama”. Maybe it’s Alex and Izzie’s time. I don't like it too. I hope they new ones are only guests.
“Friends” was a 10 years success with the same 6 main characters. Everybody else was guest ones. And it worked brilliantly.
I’m not interested in new characters in Grey’s as I wasn’t in all that new interns in season 4. I want to see MerDer and the others old ones. They are the ones loved by the fans.

I think that if the writers srite this well, itcoul be a really good storyline and additions to the show, but on the flipside, sometimes alot is just too much. The cast is very large all ready and the originals will lose airtime that they deerve for being there longeraand keeping the show as great as it is. This could o either way

what?! i dont want izzie and alex to break up!!! before i didn't really care that much that there were gonna be additions from Mercy West, i wanted to give it a chance, but now that there's a possibility that one of my all time favorite couples could break up..this sucks! ughh im still keeping a somewhat open mind, but i love alex/izzie..so i really hope that nothing happens between them and the newbies.

If they break up Izzie and Alex I'm gonna be pissed. Izzie doesn't sleep around anyway. And Alex "can't survive without her." They can't just ruin that.
You know what I would love to see? Show the main characters go on vacation. Or show us their family's and where they grew up. Or have one of the couples go on a roadtrip. Something where we can see them out of the hospital and as real people. It would be interesting.

More people. Great. The core cast is already HUGE, is it really necessary for more? In Meredith Grey's own words: Seriously?
I understand the point of having them but I find it highly unnecessary. Instead, why not focus on Mark, Alex, and Cristina's background? Six years and we hardly know much about them. Also, let's see how the Derek vs. Richard thing goes around by exploring each of the reasons of why they became doctors. Bailey's path as an attending and single mother, whatever, just not more characters.
There is so much to do with the old characters that it doesn't make sense the new ones.
I can't see GA turning into ER. It's impossible. Both shows have a different focus on medical drama that GA had to totally transform its story to be like ER. ER managed a huge cast from its beginning and did well until its end. I can't see GA pulling the same thing.
As for A/I, I wouldn't worry much but remember that in this show, it's how couples are, by slipping out. I don't agre

I just want to say that the show needs some kind of sequence, i mean, in season 5 they used Alex´s "swimmers" for the future, Izzie and him get married, and now they are looking to the future.. so i think that we need some of that logical sequence to appear somewhere. I don´t know how they are going to handle the breaking contract stuff or whatever but i think they need to find a smart way to do that, not just doing the obvious. That´s why I love GA, because you can´t imagine what is going to happen, but the cheating spouse is kind of typical! So i really think now that it will be better to end the show in a good way if this was supposed to be the "season that changes everything" and that´s how they are pretending to handle the disappearance of characters.

I also prefer 6 or 7 seasons of good storylines than 15 seasons of crappy storylines and useless character who we don't care about.
That is what they are doing they are bringing new faces so we get use to them so when the original characters leave they can continue with the show indefinitely.
Shonda should end the show after season 7, after all the original characters contracts expired. Shonda give it an end day stop try to prolong it with useless character. All good things must come to an end.

Hmm... not sure what I think of this yet. I'll be pissed if they split Alex and Izzie up, but if it's done in the right way it might make for some good character developement.
Plus - I'm still totally expecting Izzie to leave at the end of this season. I'm completely convinced that she's still gonna die at a later date (or run off to discover herself or something), and poor Alex will need someone to comfort him if that happens, won't he?
When they got married, I always expected that Izzie would leave him in season 6. Don't know why, maybe cos I'm so used to being continually dissapointed by this show. Last season was the best they've done IMO, which is why I'm half expecting this season to suck!! lol

No no no no no. The LAST thing we need is new characters. I agree with what everyone has said, they need to focus on what we already know and love. Slowly but surely they're getting rid of everything that made Grey's Greys. Horrible.
And can we PLEASE have a couple that stays together? Already, they're talking about breaking up Izzie and Alex. That is just ridic

LOL maybe because Alex and Izzie suck., They ahve extremely vocal fans but I know for a fact they have tons of haters and some people stopped watching the show because of them. Izzie was way better with Denny.

I'm interested to see what the new members have to bring to the table. It sucks that they are gonna be starting some drama with izzie and alex. I don't wanna judge to quickly cause in greys fashion they always try and keep you guessing about the story.

So, that's it ? We've only had a glimpse of the relationship between Izzie and Alex, and now the writers are already bored ??! Two weeks ago, Alex tells Izzie he could not survive without her, and today, we learn that he could cheat on her. Waouh, great job !

I totally agree with you!! I would prefer just 6 o 7 seasons of amazing eps with the original cast having a happy ending than 15 seasons of an entire new team who has nothing to do with GA!!
