Private Practice Recap: Season Three Premiere
By popular demand, since there are a ton of Private Practice fans out there, here's a little post for you to discuss last night's episode, with a link to a full recap as well!
Private Practice picked up where we left off last season, with Violet's baby having been stolen by a mentally ill patient who left her drugged and bleeding on the floor.
As flashbacks told us the story of how Pete came to the practice and forged his relationship with Violet, the Oceanside docs frantically did all they could to save her life.
Did she live? Yes. We knew she would. But did the baby? Was the baby even found? And what did this episode tell us about Pete and Violet and their past - and future?
Follow the link for our sister site's Private Practice recap if you missed it and share your thoughts on the episode, which was a terrific ride from beginning to end ...

I personally don't like PP very much, I just watch only for Addison. But OMG this premiere is mind-blowing. Was pretty awesome. Addison totally rocks in this ep and the all cast had outstanding performances.

The only time that PP will interest me is when characters from GA appear on there. I wasnt ot know if Bailey tells Addison about George's death; MerDer's post it wedding; AlIz wedding and the chief making wholesale cuts @SGH

I agree with Anuflas and Nina - I seriously was crying harder during the Addie/Naomi scene than in the Grey's premiere, and that's not to take anything away from GA or George (I loved George and will miss him) but Kate and Audra were AMAZING and I love the Addie/Naomi friendship. I really hope we see more of that this season - although we still don't know what is going on with Naomi working for Pacific Wellcare.
Anyway, Kate ROCKS and the premiere was one of the best PP episodes yet. Very well done. Congrats to Shonda, the writers, and the entire cast and crew of PP - more people should watch this amazing show! Addie rocks!
And everyone - I strongly recommend that you check out Kate's new website, katewalsh.com. It's pretty cool.

I thought it was really cool, the whole idea with the missing baby was a little over dramatic tho. Private Practice is always a little to over the top.
There was the woman who wanted them to give her her virginity back
The women who accidentally had each others babies.
KATIE - who STOLE a baby...
These things happen maybe once or twice to a hospital, not every week. they need to make it a little more realistic.
finale was amazing, premiere was awesome :)
Grey's was better tho i think.
lili - the reason that the grey's premiere was like that, was it was showing all sides of greif. all of us think of grief as depression, because maybe thats how we all handle it, but there are people out there who deal with grief in a different way. they showed all the ways... (the 5 stages of grief)
Meredith: in denial because she she think she still has a piece of george (his locker) and uses sex and work as a distraction for realising reality.
Cristina: uses humor, and lack of s

I loved the episode. I totally agree with you anuflas, i loved addison. She was so good. She should do more surgeries, because she's a brilliant surgeon!
And I loved the last scene when Violet woke up and she was just totally happy and in peace, even though she almost died and everything.

I wouldn't say better than the GA premier but it was amazing. I felt for Pete. Really felt bad for him. And Cooper. This is going heavy on him.
My favorite scene of all the episode was Addie telling Naomi that she is alone. Kate killed it. It was amazing. Still can't manage to describe it.
This is the Addison that I like. Kicking ass and ruling the OR. Brilliant. She is a brilliant surgeon and she saved both.
The music was also incredible. Really really good.

i think it was wonderfull, waaaaaaaay better than greys anatomy premier i think the last season finale was way too emotional that i expected a much more dramatic premier than what it was...i specially hated the funeral scene in which they all laugh..i find it hard to believe that it could be a real reaction...it was a weak point in comparison to the scene in which cristina says:george is dead which is so touching .....anyway,congrats to shonda and all the private practice cast it was a hell of a premier
