well blair is who wold act marissa guys bc look what happens when she thinks she is mess up she goes forthe bad boy carte and the whole spiral her mind it is "i've been followingrules all my life s why not do the opposite if i am not going to get the reward".serena has been bad phase and knew it was bad what she did and thinks it is bad and learn the thing it is that blair learns but doesn't get she did wrong .that is what i think josh is trying to highlight.

Uh, no. In that episode, I believe it was referenced that Blair had never asked for such a favor before but it was something teachers typically did at Constance. Plus it was ONE B. Not an F. You don't get first or second in an academically competitive school like Constance unless you're smart and work hard.
There has been support during the series for Blair and Dan working hard at school (remember the flashcards?). All we have for Vanessa is the fact that she magically got into NYU because she's the writers Mary Sue.

It seems like Josh Schwartz didn't learn ANYTHING in the last years or from THE OC..Why can almost every other show survive more than three or four seasons? Only his shows end up so fast because the start is always great but then he goes way too fast with the characters and the storylines it's too much for 3 Seasons already..I don't wanted it to be boring but a little bit slower could really help a show to grow and make at least five or six good seasons! And I can see it totally coming that they kill Serena off at the end of season three..like Marissa she isn't going to college, she is always struggeling with her life and don't know where she really is and where she belongs, maybe the send her now a "bad guy" who gets her to use drugs or whatever and kills her in the end and then we see blair struggeling with it! AND BY THE WAY I HATE HOW TO TURNED OUT BLAIR! She is acting like she is 16 again and in high school with the girls behind her and trying to manipulate everybody! And Chuck sh

The second one was from a discussion of Blair and sex, acting out in high school, etc in season 1. Leighton's point (I thought) was that while Blair was bitchy, etc., she was also the less sexually promiscuous one, the one who studied, etc, the one who cared about what adults thought. I thought her point was that it was interesting that Blair it that role rather than having the more cliche'd bitchy girl as the vamp who won everything.

Cherryl, Blair was first or second in her class at Constance in season 2. She was a straight A student until the Miss Carr debacle. We've seen her obsessing over studying or the SATs several times. She figured out a way to get rid of the Duchess and help Nate, she executed the plans to get rid of Georgina.
Yes, the writers have been sabotaging her all season (and last) in part to help prop up Vanessa. I don't care if there are Blair bashers. I personally hate that they seem to be writing the show now.

That almost brunette/almost blonde were pissing me off.

-Vanessa bit her tongue and die with her poison.

Well,if you watch the show,
you'll know that Blair is always a straight A student,
she is the president of various clubs,she deserves to attend YALE,
but the writers just kill her dreams.

nanna i think it is a pobility hd 8seasons bc look supernatura,smallville,oth..they managed to survive some 8 seasons even 9.....
and i'm chuck bass:type in utube mischa barton ad there is a document film of eonline,ausellio and warnerbross clip tht tells u the real reaso they killed marissa of the show where they say it was josh decission and those rumors about it was mischa dcission is not true and it was bc josh wanted that end from the very begining.besides watch the pilot theypretty much gives u the ending,B LEFT BEHIND a limo.Marissa same scene where he ended the series finale closing that scene...is suspiious.And he tends to kill his drama queen the one that decides to do damage to herself s a choice the bulimia is always at the background as leigthon says in interviews.And hhe think josh that saying sorry it is not solution to change what u are it is to acting as a good person.Therefore ithink they will go for it.But anyway i will have fun with my cb and foward v scenes a

Joshanie Schwavage had to kill off Marissa, because Misha Barton wanted to leave. Better to have her go in a blaze of drama, rather than just not coming back next season. I don't think that indicates some kind of character killing habit. But you never know, all the principal actors have other projects and plenty of alternative offers. It's not too much of a leap to imagine that one of them might get bored filming the same show for nine months every year.

KATRYN: I really hope, as you say, that we're getting 8 seasons, but I heard that the cast were signed up for 6 seasons? but that is still enough for me. But do you think that they are going to kill off any of the important characters like they did in O.C. ? - I think that Josh should also keep in mind that the reactions can be explosive when you kill off important characters, like when they killed off Marissa in O.C. they only got a half fourth season because of the ratings.
And I'm so excited about Jacks return, I think he was great and really created some "drama drama" that made me come back for more, like Georgina in season 1.

why is everyone so surprised about Blair losing the speech, the girl is only there because her step dad has connections in NYU,not because any academic merit, if she really was a top student as some here says she would be in Yale,we never knew her SAT results but we now her teachers fix her grades at Constance that's why she was so mad with "Dan's teacher" when she didn't fix her grade so why all Blair fangirls believe she is so smart?,if the writers keep giving us proves of her lack of brains.
also Vanessa SAT results most be great because NYU wanted her she isn't there because someone help her she win everything by herself which it's admirable as her mother says she is thoughtful and driven.
if all V haters and Blair fangirls believe that's a bad thing ,I'm glad, I'm not one of them.

nana i think the question it is qen.i think at the end of the series and gg isdoing so good .did u watch the dvd recorded rantings increassed 30% meaning we got gg for a long roun.GG was renoved justwhen te season started for a 4 season.And for that matter i'm almost positive that we will get gossip girl for 8 season.I just a little scared bc that sl of carter was so foreshadowing .I mean all the sl of episodes 07 seems to have a connection chuck related in kind of way they always used the word proposal or thetheme marrige and there is a busness thing going on.And in that we know c gave up the idea to save a club to "sae himself"...horace words.I just hope those hits doesn't mean a mini carter sl but with chuck knowing ***spoiler warning***
jack is going to come ack and pobably to mess with chuck live maybe been poor and the sl of carter repeats himself butwihb.i KNOW he does love b but is weird episodes 07 are chuck centric...
