Skittle, actually the merger WAS the chief's idea. He thought about it when talking to that resident/intern Callie assigned to his case when he twisted his ankle...

Izzie's dismissal is really out of the question here. Even if she had been in the ER at that time, she may never had reach for that patient or made a similar mistake.
I think Derek is going to call out on the Chief and on Jennings saying the merger is the mistake with people being worried about job security. I can't wait to see that one. The Chief is going down.
Hunt is getting on my nerves. It's not a preferential situation but once in a while he has to cut Cristina some slack. Lie for her. Seriously.
Seriously?

Poor Cristina... ever since Burke left her at the alter she hasn't been able to catch a break! Even her new boyfriend doesn't stick up for her (though professionally he can't at times) and she's even had to sit in at his therapy for his action of choking her. I mean... c'mon!
I hope these previews are made to look like Yang is to blame when really she will deliver one of her great speeches and get that loser (literally loser, since he said he "lost" a patient in a hallway) Charlie fired.

Oh also, Izzie would have never left a patient in pain. She's more likely to become over-involved and sit by the patient's bedside. Once again, Chief. Shouldn't have fired Izzie!!

I didn't quite catch everything b/c the video's a little fuzzy (it's my computer's fault not the video) so I hope I understood everything correctly, but it seems to me that the Chief made a HUGE mistake in firing Izzie. Say what you will about the girl but she is the one most likely to reach out and make friends. They need her there to reach out and bridge the gap b/w the MW and SG people. George could have done it too but...we've lost him too. We only have Alex the ass and Christina the robot. I love them both but you know they're not going to make nice.
Also, was that jerk actually complaining b/c no one would help him find his way around the hospital? Didn't he screw over the last person to help him out? No wonder Alex wouldn't acknowledge his nod. I wouldn't either if he got my significant other fired.

Oh god.. I hope they will not fire Lexie or Christina!! And I agree that Richard should spend more time getting involved in the hospital instead spending his day in his office!!
And I am missing Meredith so much, can't wait for the episodes when she starts working full time again!! I hope they will give us more Meredith or maybe an episode focused on her or something..like the old days!!

This looks like it's going to be the best episode of this season so far! I like the direction the show is going - don't get me wrong, I pretty much dislike the MW people and am unhappy that the chief is being pushed around by his superiors (remember the merger was not his decision) to crack down and be a hard ass, but things are actually getting INTERESTING again! It's not entirely the show it was 3 or 4 years ago, but it's definitely starting to return to that formula. I had my doubts about Season 6, but now they are gone. Can't wait til tomorrow!

Is it possible that Grey's Anatomy might even get worse? I swear this time the stupid MW people have to be blamed. And why to treat Alex? He is such a wonderful character, he had a bad childhood, his wive almost died. And now she left him? Come on, he deserves a better storyline.

The Chief should fire himself is his fault. He doesn't get it. This merger is killing patient, and saving his ass. He needs to be more involve in the what going on of the hospital, he just locks himself up in his office and forget about everybody. MW people aren't team players, they will throw anyone under the bus if it mean saving their asses.

Maybe with this "it wasn't my patient" and "I didn't do it" the chief will finally realize that the merger was a bad idea:(.
