What Did You Think of "Invasion"?
You can't pray away the gay. But you must at least try - however in vain - to hold the ship until your last ... dying ... breath. Words to live by, Grey's Anatomy style.
The invaders from Mercy West invaded, as advertised, although the consequences were more severe than anticipated for the doctors we love, as well as their patients.
Will Izzie return? Where did she go? That we can only wait and see.

Meredith: I can't do it in front of the ducky's!

I thought the Octobert 22 episode was BORING. The writers need to stick to formulas that work. I turned it off about 3/4 of the way in. There was too much gore and too little substance.

The Mercy West crew has to go! Give them one more episode and kick them the **** out! Can someone tell Shonda that it's killing Grey's Anatomy!!

There were scenes I liked from it-Meredith comforting Cristina over the absence of a cardio god to teach her reminded me of the good old days of seasons 1-4, Callie and her father's scenes. I've always liked Callie, but I didn't like Arizona until this episode, when I realized how supportive and protective she is of Callie. I loved the scene between her and Callie's father, that was beautifully acted.
There were also scenes I didn't like, mainly involving the Mercy West crowd--Charles treated Izzie horribly, April is unbelievably childish and irritating. Reed seems alright, though...she might eventually grow on me, and Jackson is hot.

I just rewatched "Invasion". I think I really like this episode now. Yes, there was a too much stuff, less interesting cases and everything happened pretty fast. But the intense was perfect. Fights between the characters, struggles of our favorite ones. If Shonda and the others are planning something big..I'm really excited about that.

Sofi, I agree with all of that. And I do hope that the Orangies are gone soon.
Izzie definitely needs to have some space. I feel bad because she said she "had nothing left." These doctors are going nuts, especially Cristina. Being a surgeon defines them. Being someone who is beginning her journey of pre-med courses, you go into medicine because there is nothing else you see yourself doing. Cristina especially, all these surgeons can't see themselves doing anything else. They lose that, and everything else seems to shift and matter less.
I hope we get to figure out where Izzie went off to. And I can't wait to see the episode with her teacher. I'm pretty sure he has something to do with her fighting for her job back, or at the very least, making her feel like she's confident enough to work.

Sofi,
Thanks. :)
You were right about Izzie leaving Alex. Maybe next week we'll get some answers to Izzie's whereabouts.

Anuflas u never cease to amaze me
I don't like that there are 4 new characters from MW in one episode (it's just too much,it would have been better with one or maybe just maybe two new characters) but I think that they won't last long because according to shonda rhimes' twitter we're suppose to hate the MW residents. If Jesse Willams stays it would be cool though because he's soooo hotttttt (I just had to say that)
I did not like how Izzie left Alex but I think I know why. After all that's happened (Getting married quickly, having cancer,George dead, getting fired) she needs some alone time to get some perspective on all that's happened in her life so she can realize that she needs to change and not take every little thing so personally. If she had told Alex about this then he probably wouldn't have taken it well or tried to stop her but it's still no excuse for what she did to him (he was there at her roughest days when she was fighting cancer and she just takes off and leaves!!

Oh and one more thing ;) Why Webber fired Izzie? Because of cancer and that she didn't recover yet? 'Cause this is the part of episode i didn't understand (btw why didn't she do the sad cancery eyes?;P maybe it would help)
