Mer, honestly, if I had lost my job after almost losing my life with Stage 4 Melanoma, I might have left too, if at least to clear my mind. I don't think she did it on purpose, but where she's coming from I could see needing to get away. I don't think she'll leave him for good or anything (because then the temp break would be a permanent one) but she's probably really upset. I don't know what you mean by "why does she do that to him all the time?" since she doesn't just randomly leave him when she's pissed off.

i both hated and loved the episode today!
I WANT THE MERCY WESTERS TO GO AWAY!!
it was so annoying.. almost unbearable that i almost tuned it off..
and i can't believe izzie is fired and she left alex!!
why does she do that to him all the time?
i can't wait for next epi and hopefully everything will be back to normal :(

I agree abcdefg, completely.
What I wanna know is.. if they have no room to keep people on the staff, so they need to do layoffs.. why did they do the merger in the first place? More people means more money to pay the employees. Granted, I haven't been WATCHING the show (maybe it was explained in the dialog) but to me, it's the stupidest thing: you need to layoff people for budget reasons.. and so you ADD more surgeons to the hospital and lay off the ones who were there in the first place.. incredibly dumb, IMO.

where was mark?? i missed him... i felt so bad for alex when he was about to cry. only good part was mer/cristina crying scene and callie/arizona storyline. stupid mercy west people. go away!

Anuflas, I love reading your opinions on the show. With the exception of your slight dislike of Izzie/KH, we think the same way :)

Ok...not liking the Mercy West Orangies AT ALL!!! What a punk CharlIE is! If I was Izzie I would have thrown that coffee at his face! And all the scenes with Alex getting upset ALWAYS break my heart because he plays this character with such a hard outer shell but in those moments of vulnerability you really get to see Alex as a person and I love that. I was balling like a big baby at the end of the episode and was really freaking out thinking that Izzie wouldn't be back...but after reading some of the other comments I am put more at ease. Happy movie making Katherine! :)

What are the writers thinking!? This episode stretched beyond the limits of believability into the area of bizarre. Seems to me the writers couldn't come up with any real story lines so they just threw all their ideas on paper and called it a script. It's painful to watch what started as a great show slowly disintegrate.

Wow, I'm really hating what they're doing with the show...
I don't even really watch it anymore. I just wait for someone to tell me what's going on or I read the synopsis later. There's no point.
I know KH will be back but I hate that they fired her. When did this show become crappy? What happened to the GA I loved with the funny, and sometimes lighter material?

No Mark? That was cruel. If anyone would have some funny stuff to say about it all would be him. I missed him.
I DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT like the orangies. Seriously, if they're planning to keep them, thank God for DVR. Reed is annoying, Jackson is arrogant in a non hot way (love his eyes though), 'Charlie' is a moron. I sorta got to slightly like the other one, April? She's ok but back off McDreamy. Just sayin'.
Of all, I didn't think that Lexie would be the one going all sneaky to sabotage. I liked her patient, Billy, he was funny.
I can't say I was sad when Izzie was fired but poor Alex. He was crushed.
LOVE MEREDITH! "This is our ship", right on. Favorite scene? Cristina crying to Mer. Loved it. I hope Owen eventually finds out about this, because his impartiality is damaging her even further.
Also, loved the little cute MerDer interaction. Derek is adorable "Are you having the dark and twisty?" I love him.
Good episode but I did got a little of the ER vibe. When

Don't know what to think about it...
I really don't like the new doctors (except one who was kinda cute), they are intruding into our show!
It was so sad to see Izzie cut out of the program.
I loved Meredith's scenes. Derek saying "I love you" was so cute, and Cristina crying was funny!
But where was Mark? I missed him.
I definitely saw too many orange scrubs tonight.

NO MARK + 4 random new people, none of which I like, + what could of been a great dramatic scene at the end being just like nothing= pretty dissapointing episode.
The writers have lost their flare.

HJC - Meredith donated part of her liver to Thatcher...she's supposed to be bedridden for a month-ish.
I really didn't like the new people - especially the two guys. They just...don't really click with the existing cast, imho. OMG, and I was so disappointed to not have my weekly dose of Mark. :(. I stopped watching Grey's during season 4 but Mark/Lexie convinced me to start up again during season 5...and then he doesn't even show up the ENTIRE episode? WTF? In my opinion, out of all the season 5 and 6 episodes, this was definitely the worst. The only bits I enjoyed were Arizona/Callie/Callie's Dad and the bonding between Christina/Meredith. Hopefully next week is better!

LOVED the Callie and Dad scene. That was so awesome. I really liked the episode. I also liked how they had the guy Izzie was with being sort of George-ish for a bit (of course, it was all a hoax, but still--- made it interesting. Anyway, really liked the show and liked the Scripture match between Callie and her dad. And what she said after. "Jesus is my savior." Yah, it rocked.

Great eposide there's total chaos in the hospital it was rude that the girl from Mercy West used George's locker after Izzie told her she couldn't thought it was badass of Lexie to say she didn't like the girl straight to her face seeing as she's usually quiet and keeps to herself i didn't see Mark which upset me seeing as he's my favorite character unless he was there and i just didn't notice him felt bad for the patient who was told she was getting a kidney then told she wasn't able to get one felt bad for Meredith also seeing as she was lieing in a hospital bed forced to watch tv since she couldn't do much of anything glad that Callie's father finally accepted her for who she was and was happy to see them having a father and daughter moment outside felt bad for Alex when he found Izzie's note she could of spoke to him before she left instead of just going awesome eposide overall :)
