I loved this episode! Totally enjoyed watching it. But I do feel pity for all the doctors as they had to work extra hard in order not to get cut...I could feel the intensity of the situation!
And wow, Chyler Leigh surprised me this episode. Great acting from her, that's what happens when you put Lexie in the spotlight...
Although I still prefer Mer ;)

I loved it! I thought it was so much better then last week's. The chief is being a total jerk, he yells at Derek, and then informs his staff by EMAIL who's getting cut? I did like how Derek went around comforting the people who got fired, that was nice. I wish there was a little more MerDer, but there probably will be next week, since it looks like the episode is mostly about Mer. Also, I read in the writer's blog that Mer won't be missing from any episodes, since Ellen taped some ahead of time, so that'll be good. It's not Grey's without Mer! Can't wait for next week!
A lighter episode after the first two. A real crisis makes us know everybody deep inside.
Izzie is trying to be back. But as Alex said, George is dead and she does have cancer. She can’t be the same person after all. Alex really loves Izzie. I want her to show the same love for him.
Cristina is still selfish and immature. She tried to use Owen as she did with Burke, but Owen was great: “that’s a no”. He was kind and firm. Love him. And that’s why I can’t really like her. She isn’t loyal by principle. She makes allies and uses them. And she has the audacity to say that Meredith makes things personal.
Arizona was too naive. Dealing with kids doesn’t mean you are childish.
Mark pacing Derek. “You’re tired, you’re angry, you’re gonna say something you regret.” And to encouraging Lexie! “You deserve to be here, act like it” He’s growing up!
Optimistic Meredith! What a happy marriage can do! When there’s a crisis she grows.

Christina very funny and love Alex and Izzie scenes, really hope they keep them together. Would like more Bailey though, especially now George has gone and EP and KH will be away for awhile.
Loved this episode. It was sometimes funny and sometimes serious.
i loved alex & izzie together. And that izzie was the only one who mentioned george, shows they were soulmates.
And the end was very mcdreamy !

I read that Kirsta said Ellen wouldn't miss any episodes.
The trailer for Tainted Obligation suggests that Mer and Thatch both have AB blood and wouldn't you know Lex can't be a donor.
Please can anyone explain to me about the fact that Mer can give him a liver transplant or have I misunderstood? Can they take a take a section of a living donor's liver. I'm very, very confused.
YOu can see Mer being guilted into donating to save Thatch, something going wrong whilst Mer's being operated on. Der won't be able to sign the consent form for Mer cos everyone knows MerDer did a post it wedding. I hope I'm so wrong, but I'm still confused.

I really loved this episode. Especially the Izzie and Alex scenes. So cute. :) In one of the writer's blogs, the one where they answer questions, someone asked what was gonna happen to Izzie since KH is leaving for a little, and they said it's gonna be kind of amazing. If I remember correctly. So hopefully nothing bad happens.

sofi,
Yeah, I saw them too. Rumor had it that KH's episodes were going to be alternated, not in a row like EP's but at this point, who knows.
But according to some spoilers, episode 6 is going to be part of Bailey's crossover with PP and episode 7 is supposedly Derek's stand alone episode. Hopefully we won't notice KH or EP gone. :)

I really liked this episode it was light and fun :D. I loved everything from the schizophrenic to Cristina in peds. I actually wish there was more Mer/Der interaction but I guess because of EP pregnancy and maternity leave the producers did whatever they could
I HATED the chief today I'm sorry but if he continues having this attitude I will tune out of his scenes from every GA episode and hope derek becomes the next cheif.
I thought it was kind of cute of Alex to look out for Izzie but he did go a bit overboard @ some points but he was right in what he told Izzie @ the end on how she needs to pace herself and to take care of herself because he can't always be there to remind her to eat and take her meds and to be careful.
Anuflas
I saw promotional pics for "Invasion" and I definetly think that Izzie is going to be laid off in that epi and will hopefully introduce KH's 5 episode leave around episode 6 or 7 in a positive way hopefully and if I'm correct KH should be appearin

After the premier, I was really worried about this season; not because it wasn't good, but because of all the commercials! I was starting to get worried the show was getting shorter and shorter... it used be over 45 minutes! Tonight left me relieved; only 5 or 6 commercial breaks (which is still a lot, but better than the premier). Yay!

MerDerLover101,
No, Mer, Alex, and Cristina are third year residents now. I'm not sure about Izzie since she missed quite a good portion of her training due to the cancer.
As for I assume is that S1, S2, and S3 is one year (they'll interns), S4 and S5 is another year.
It had the 1:01 in the DVR but...ugh, technology can be a bitch sometimes. Off to watch PP now.
Oh, and word about Derek. She doesn't owe him ANYTHING.

This episode was amazing. I agree, I doubted this season after seeing the premiere, but now I know I'm gonna love it.
Glad to see we didn't lose much MerDer, and we still see Mer in the episodes.
I loved Alex with Izzie. He was so sweet making sure she was taking her medicine.
Cristina in peds was funny. I loved when she made Mr. Bear "talk".
The Chief drove me crazy. I think he's being childish.
Great acting by Chyler Leigh. I understand her crying at the end. I think Lexie's finally starting to grow on me. I didnt like her for so long.
I LOVED the ending.
Next week looks good :) so suspenseful with all the cuts! I'm curious as to who's next.
Also, the Private Practice premiere was amazing. Had me in tears at the end. Shonda Rhimes really is a god.

It ran like a minute over ten o'clock so maybe thats what through your DVR off.... Loved Mer/Der interaction even though it wasn't much! Since last year Lexie's character has completely grown on me and I actually like her; I love her and Sloan together. They had a few cute scenes tonight! I do feel bad for all the residents cut. Anufulus; I think Owen was speaking to everyone too.
I have a question; now I've been following Grey's a long time now; but did they jump or is it just me? Like Mark said best second year resident. Does that make Merdith,Cristina,Alex and Izzie year six? All in all I though pretty good episode!

It was good. Light.
Cristina in peds? HILARIOUS. The chocolate pudding? Totally Cristina. Although I couldn't believe that Arizona is that naive towards knowing how residents are. Really? I liked her but I had to roll my eyes to her in that.
Lexie is paranoid. Fact. Even worse than that poor schizophrenic kid. Although I understand her crying at the end.
Alex and Izzie? Eh. Alex has a point though. Maybe they should move Izzie to the clinic for some time?
Little MerDer but at least it was cute. Loved the baseball game. I think Owen was speaking to everyone to calm down about the merger.
Chief vs. Derek? The Chief couldn't even face the people he 'knows' after being cut. Honestly, what a coward. I say Round 1 goes to Derek. Nice enough to say goodbye and offer job recommendations. I say put him instead of the Chief.
Next week looks interesting. If it were me, I'd give nothing to Thatcher but I think Mer will do it. Honestly, can't wait.
