That's not going to make me watch the new show... But just be pissed that they put off Gossip Girl. They're already losing viewers as it is. I honestly think they are out to get GG off the air at this point. There is no other logical reason for this stupidity they have displayed.

The politics of network programming come down from the very top. The network is either struggling financially and is under pressure to find a good trend, or it's as simple as the wrong people are at the help in the first place. Network politics have been known to dump on successful shows and keep trash in place for years. It can't just be writers asleep at the wheel. This weird change in direction that we've been seeing in Gossip Girl as of late is no coincidence. To think that fan opinions matter is to be a fool, but it's worse to think that everything is fine at the top. Something weird is definitely going on.

This doesn't quite make sense. Why even come back in January at all? Just start the hiatus a couple weeks earlier! This just means we'll take at least a two week break for Christmas, then air maybe two more episodes, then go off the air for six more weeks. That sounds like amateur programing CW.

By the time Gossip Girl comes back, we won't need to watch the remaining episodes because the spoilers will have told us exactly what is going to happen.

a 6 week hiatus is how you lose viewers. Start the season later or end it earlier.. Do what other more successful networks are doing. I want to support Gossip Girl I just wish it were on a network that knew what it was doing.

Something still doesn't add up. If they run 6 episodes in Apr-May, and stick to the provided schedule, they'd have to cut a few episodes from the Nov-Jan period. There are 25 episodes in total, but we don't have a list of episode titles for the next few episodes. After Nov 16 episode, what episodes do we have lined up for sure?

can't be as bad as season 2 when they made us wait for at least 3 weeks before at least 5 new episodes airs then another hiatus which made us forget what's actually happening
but im gonna miss gg, i mean 6 weeks, oh lordy!
and i sincerely hope there's season 4

afv8976, there should be one since the hiatus begins on January 11th...I'm dying for a Christmas episode. They didn't even made a Blair's Birthday episode this year.....:(((
I hate hiatuses.... I need to psychologically prepare myself for those damn 6 GossipGirl-less weeks....
so this means there's not gonna be a christmas episode???
