second, that would be so weird if jack bass comes back as a 'ghost.' gossip girl is pretty realistic. why are they going all supernatural? what, is there going to be a musical episode too? this season has been awful awful awful. its been more like a lame comedy than the drama and glamour (what the heck happened to the 'elite lives' of these characters? it seems like its all about brooklyn now. wheres the upper east side. also, they used to have the best music on gossip girl! but now, since the scenes are awful, i guess the music couldn't be that great either.

I can't beleave Chuck's mother is coming back I know Chuck was taking about his mom in the first gossip girl but I want to know where was she but I want to know why Chuck thought he killed his mother and why does she come back a year after Bart died this should be a good storyline but I kinda wished Chuck had a little sister who was away at school and come back to the Upper East to gave Jenny a run for her money because Jenny is actting like a bitch.

I hadn't read ur comments guys before and was all happy and proud that I'd come here and say: "HEY! here's an idea: Jack is Chuck's real dad!" but u got me first :( LOL anyway, I really think that's what will happen though. and, yes, it will be weird and gross that Blair slept with both the father and the son but, hey, we need some Chair drama - they're getting boring and I hate that. besides, it was already gross that she slept with Chuck's uncle so it doesn't really make a difference to me since it's the same gross Jack.

that's what why you hate this season so much.
the blair-chuck-nate traingle is so plain stupid because
a.) it's all ready happened, it's old (if you want it so bad watch season 1 again)
b.) your all in love with chair, i agree there a cute and differnt couple, so of course you guys will want blair and chuck to end up together again. leaving nate by himsef, why can't nate have happiness aswell.
Nate has always loved Serena, so let him have his happiness you never know the couple may be amazing.
I love chair aswell don't get me wrong, but just because their an amazing couple doesnt mean it has TO BE ALL ABOUT THEM. lets not forget the show dosent just have to main characters, it has many.
I also heard somewhere that Victoria Beckham is playing Chucks mum and she said in a interview she's really looking forward to it.

Just a side comment, is it just me, or do a lot of the more obscure references kind of slip under your radar? Like the New York side comments, and the "cultural" references? They seem like they're for a kind of older crowd to me, I just read the New York Magazine recaps in order to understand them...heheh....

I'm glad about Chair heating up, they are my favorite couple but the writers made them so boring. They gipped us of all the best parts: the first time they made love after saying I LOVE YOU to one another, the morning after, what did they say and do? The first time they held hands, was it awkward or natural for them? They should've built season 3 around how they spent their summer and incorporated the rest of the NJBC cast around CHAIRS first summer as a couple. Maybe they could fix it and go back and at least give us some flashbacks? Plus, where's all the CHAIR hotness? CHAIR ooze sex appeal and the writers gave us Ma & Pa Kettle...lame!
Nate & Serena, nope, didn't have chemistry before and I'm not feelig them now eiter. I think she's a better fit with Carter or Tripp...
Vanessa & Dan? Ew! Beware! Troll babies & cabbage patch dolls! I'll take a pass and fast-forward any Danessa scenes.

Jack COULDN'T be Chuck's father. Jack would have to be in his 40s in GG - as he would have had to be at least in his early twenties when it happened - but both character and actor are in their early 30s. As it stands now, Jack would have been about TWELVE years old when he fathered Chuck. Now unless GG are going to go into a underage, freaky sex storyline, or suddenly say that Jack is older then I don't think that'll be the storyline. An affair maybe, but not with Chuck being the result of it.

I reckon, Bart, Jack and Chuck’s mother are the ghosts of Xmas past, present and future. I’ve heard that Posh Spice will be appearing in a cameo role this season, and there have been hints she will be playing the mother. I do not think she’ll be able to carry a huge role, so a one off cameo will be it and maybe she’ll turn out to be alive and well, and after Jack causes some trouble she gets rid of him for her son before continuing with her life, wherever she is. I doubt they’d bring her in as a regular character, even if it isn’t Posh Spice playing her.
And I hope they do heat Chair up again, it’s been a long a time coming! I agree with others, their obsessive love makes so much better viewing! Bring in the heat and keep the heat, otherwise it’s just inconsistent.
And I’m actually really looking forward to Nate and Serena. I’m a bigger fan of Nate than Serena, but it would be interesting to see what kind of depth they can come up with the two. And once more

i think jack it is chuck's real father and the real reason why bart thought while chuck was apologicing was that when he was looking him he only could see the betrayal.And knowing the arcs this season long 7 episodes and we know b will go nuts for real when c doesn't stick for her could make her act really bad and messing it up .so yes i guess the thing after how they are misstraying b's character this season with a reason such as she needs to grow up asap.she has to but this wasn't lighed at s.1...mmmthose time where the best she had heart and fiercness for me that was the true blair.this it is just a lame attempt to bring more episodes .well if this sl goes like that it woullld be gross like she slept with his dad,the son and knowing this show like savage said in a interview everyone wil hook up with everyone at some point.Count for ..s.5?db will be his brother in law?lol

Bart must have traded his life for that of Chuck's mother. There is no other explanation. :) Not in the world of soap opera.
I can definitely see them making Jack the father, and then sweeping the issue under the rug, as they do with most of their so-called OMG ideas, because I don't see them bringing Jack back for the long haul. Didn't happen before, wouldn't happen now. At the same time, if they are going to bring Chuck's mother into the picture, what are they going to do with her for the rest of the show? Largely sweep her under the rug after a few episodes, that's what. The adult couples on the show are pretty boring, but there are no single adults on the show. It's not GG's style. So, if they were going to keep Chuck's mother on, they'd have to make up a man for her sooner or later. But even so____ The show doesn't concentrate on adult couples. Lily and Rufus are the exception, because they are pretty much like children anyway.

OMGIEEE!!I was about to give up GG for another tv show,
I mean Serena is a wreck going with the congressman who already have a wife, and Dan is so..not dan at all, Chuck and Blair(my fave) aren't that interesting anymore, Nate is inconsistent and now hitting on Serena, and Vanessa...well... you know-doing her part..
the first epi. of season 3 was actually dull- but dont get me wrong, there were moments that were entertaining, but mostly boring...but.
ANYWAY! Im really glad about this twist thingy, I AM SO EXCITED!
cant wait.
But i hope to have more CHUCK and BLAIR love heat,
I so love them, their relationship is so complicated and out of ordinary from season 1 and 2- it made me obsessive at the later part..ehehhe... its the highlight of the show- and i so love blair - i used to like serena but she's so inconsitent, she's so nice and then next thing you know- she turns into a mean and slutty, and JEnny was so nice too and she turned into a complete hag, so is his brother,...
