i forgot, I have been reading a lot about bringing Burke back. I am certain that if they bring him the show will go down. I would hate to see him back.

Charlotte, Girl with no heart boyfriend did really good. He was very believable. I agree with all of you when you say the episode was cramped. However, I do love this season. I think it is one of their best. I can see where some are not too happy that Mer/Der are a bit of a sideline right now. I think it is because they are at a place right now, as newly weds, that everything is resolved and that gives them a break to explore other couples like Cris/Owen & Lex/Sloan. I do like all the current couples and to be honest I do not miss Izzie at all. I do hate it for Alex but not for her. I do wish he turns to the Mercy West doctor. What I don't see is what most of you say about Mercy West. I do like Jackson and the girl (can't think of her name), as far as the other guy, the one that "got" Izzie fired he can be fired as well. I do not are for him at all. We do not have a all this new secondary characters, really, Addison, George and Cardio lesbian dr left and were not repla

Well, I enjoyed the episode, despited the fact that it was rather crammed. I'm thinking this probably has to do with the actors wanting to spend the holiday time with their families(some of them with new babies and all). I[m sad thre won't be a new episod sooner, but I can understand if that's the reason.
BTW, I loved the whole MArk/Sloan thing with all the great commnts made by the actors. "You old perv... no more sex for you... your children are bickering... etc" And I think Sloan said that sh got kickd out for getting pregnant and DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL.

I do like some of the new characters though, I like Teddy and I think Reed has a potential of becoming an interesting character.
But the creators seem not to be able to decide which characters to develop and which not. They abandoned Hunt, Dixon (not that i miss Dixon:)), Sadie (don't miss her either but she stayed for long enough for me to think that she might become a series regular), I wonder what they'll do now with the MW people...

If the episode was liked Shonda has not expedited with Betsy to release a|podcas|.Little believable episode...from my point of view.Mer and the head as resolves it, if Mer did not bear that his father drank now does from daughter to Webber and quarrels with Derek.Derek not the helps I bought this table for next to nothing.Since with the patient of Arizona to the sgh have been given 25 MILIONS of dollars, Derek signs a check to do operate upon someone a patient and the received with pleasure head.Owen is double eTeddy face a fox....The supper of birthday with SOUNDTRACK of " SILENT NIGHT " sung by Sarah ramirez and quarrel of the Bailey...only the last day of the year it has had that only scene with that of the patient outtside the hospital.I give a word of caution to all the executive |producers, during the pause it thinks well what if it goes does not interest you more leave lose because the fans of the show deserves of more.

This is the first time (since complaining about the lack of George's screen time) that there is such an agreement among the viewers! Almost everyone was very disappointed with the episode.
I'm sorry to say this, 'cause I love Grey's, but it looks like the creators of the show don't know where to go with it now. To me, the storyline with Mark's daughter is very forced, as if they tried too hard to create some drama (it worked when Addison showed up, worked when Lexie showed up, but did not work this time!).

I enjoyed the episode, but still I was rather disappointed that they decided to stuff three holidays into one...it felt so disjointed!
Also where was Callie most of the episode, and Alex?! They felt so left out. There was limited Callie/Arizona interaction, I'm getting so tired of the chief (he really bugs the hell out of me -- god just admit that you have a problem and get one with it!), and then there was Mark's daughter...I expected a little more in-depth coverage of it instead of the superficial approach Shonda took.
And now we have to wait aaaaallll the way until January! It's 7 and a half weeks away -- 7 AND A HALF!!

This comment is especially for SHONDA..
I still don't like the mercy west crew at all! Actually I hate them! You only see them in 2 shots of an episode so why not get rid of them. That would be one problem solved!!
And about Burke, I don't understand why people would still make a big deal out of it when he comes back to GA. Burke and Christina were an excellent couple and Burke was punished so give the man a break and let him back on GA!! He deserves a second chance.
I advice SHONDA to take a look at these comments of everyone and at least give people a little bit of what they want. Everyone knows that you can better keep the fans happy, even when it's just on some points instead of pissing them of with too many changes. First the mercy west crew then the so called 'new' story between Owen, Christina and Teddy.
DEAR SHONDA, READ THE COMMENTS AND MAYBE YOU CAN STILL SAVE GREY'S ANATOMY!!

Sorry for the double post. As far as it's known only Addie is going to GA and Mark to PP. Maybe, MAYBE, Callie will go with Mark to LA but doubt it.
Also, excellent point on Lexie forgiving Mark since her own father did the same thing. Although, I don't think that Addie's abortion is going to be such a huge problem for Derek/Mark since at the end, Mark was the one hurt by it. If anything, maybe Derek will see Mark in a softer light by knowing how screwed he got by Addison as much as Derek did.
I'd love to see that moment though.

If my math is correct, Mark and Derek are supposed to be 41 this season. I am aware of Derek's statement that Mark wasn't 18 anymore but I believe that it refers to his 'emotional' age rather then his physical age.
Also, in PP, Addie said she's 39 (again) but she said that in S3 and from S3 to S6, two years have passed by.
Hate the lack of clarification.

Am I the only one who really liked this episode? I can see where the complaints are coming from. I had a few myself... Lexie slices a good portion of her finger off and she just stands there, then can go back to surgery seemingly immediately? I didn't like the storyline with Mark's daughter either. I want her to go away as much as Mark and Lexie did. It's weird. I like Teddy as a character, but I was expecting much more of a plot twist to be revealed in this episode.
Still, I loved Bailey's speech. I thought it was moving, convincing, and exactly what Bailey would say at her breaking point. Yes, Callie had a similar storyline, but it's something that happens often. We grow up and our families don't always like the choices we make. It's something most of us can relate to.
I agree that the chief has been a complete ass this season, but discovering what's wrong with him this season has made me more compassionate, not less. I think that his storyline is an open, honest portrayal of

@justafan and Scottie....I totally agree with you both on all the points you mentioned.
That being said, there WERE ALSO some GREAT scenes in that episode. It wasn't ALL terrible.
