oh..and the other thing that kills me is that the only reason Mer is giving the chief the time of day is bc he is giving her what she always needed--praise. he calls her his star tells her she's the best and will be just like her mother. do you think ANYONE ever told mer that growing up. so when thatcher tries to make her see the truth she gets defensive bc richard is giving her what thatcher never did. so she attacks him.

Okay, It wasn't perfect. I missed Alex, Izzie wasn't there and there wasn't enough Callie, but come on. You all are complaining about the absence of MerDer moments, but was it just me to cry when they kissed in the OR? Plus, I've heard Callie's voice (was it the soundtrack of the Xmas dinner wasn't it?) and it totally made me cry. She's awesome, I don't know why she didn't sing in the episode, but I loved her. At first I thought that she should be a singer, but then I realised that she's an awesome actress AND singer :)
I love Kim Raver, and I love Teddy. I mean, i really like Cristina, but not when she's with Hunt. Teddy, instead is just.. sweet and cute and sooo inlove with Hunt. And he felt the same way about her, and, to me, still feels that. I couldn't wait for them to kiss, but they didn't! Oh, and Mark and Lexie. I think Lexie kinda accepted it, is Mark who has to deal with it.
I loved the girl without heart and her boyfriend (Chyler's husband!) they were so cute! I'm so hap

  3. Seriously?

I agree with the people who wrote that someone needs to teach the guys to kiss. Owen looked like he was attacking Cristina! Why does it have to look so violent? I understand he is passionate, but c'mon!

I'm happy that Owen told Teddy that he loves Cristina, but what worries me is that he was in love with Teddy while he was engaged which means he could still be in love with her while he's with Cristina. In the writers' blog KV actually says Owen is still in love with Teddy. I hate the idea that someone could be in love with 2 people at the same time and it's ok. It's not! I hope his choice sticks this timee, even if (God forbid) it's not Cristina. And I think it shows great maturity on Cristina's part to be honest and say she doesn't want love for any other reason than love (obligation, etc).

way too much for a one hour episode! why didn't they just make it a two parter! there could have been a nice cliffhanger for no heart girl and brain boy. it wouldve had to wait until after thanksgiving which would have been torture but at least we would have had a Dec episode. now we have to wait until JAN 14!! now THAT is torture!

  5. Amber

Horrible! Horrible, horrible, horrible. It was like they ran out of material! No crazy emergency tree trunks stemming out of a person's stomach, no stolen kiss from Teddy, a random 18-year old thrown into the script with minimal lines? I've watched this show from day 1, and I honestly have no idea what happened last night. It was weird. And disappointing. Ridiculously random for Grey's Anatomy reputation.

You can watch it online at www.ch131.com It's already up.

OK, I'm going to disagree with basically everyone. I'm not saying it was perfect, but I was not disappointed.

I can totally see how Owen would get Teddy to come work there, it's no unreasonable. Even though he had feelings for her in the past, he had NO idea of them being returned. He always thought they were just good friends in her view, so why would he feel in danger if he asked her to come work there? Also because he loves Cristina - why would he even begin to think he might falling for Teddy again - the only reason he did was because she told him about how he felt! Remember last episode BEFORE she confesses how she thought they'd be together, he was totally all friendly and buddy-buddy. They never would have had a problem had she not talked to him about it. Anyways, my point is, it was not stupid of him to inviet her to work there. He thought they would just be friends. he was OVER his old feelings, and would have con

Okay,I missed the episode last night, I'm waiting for it to be on-line, I need to see it! Even though most of you say it was disappointing. I'm sorry to hear this, I love everything if it's written by Krista! Btw, I am waiting to see it, and then I'll tell you what I think about it :) x

What a letdown this episode was. My favorite couple is Calzona and I am so pissed off with the lack of scene time. That is all I'm going to say about them.
What happen to the writing? They have these amazing actors and they are being wasted on this bad writing.
The worst thing about this ep was the Mark/Daughter storylines. Now she is preggers?
Why was she asking for wine is she is preggers? I don't trust her.

  9. daniD

I have to agree with most of you. I thought the episode was too rushed and little disappointing. I wish there was more of Alex and how he dealt with the holidays without Izzie. I also think that Mark/Lexie/Riley had too little of a storyline. There should have been more confrontation and less of the awkward silence thing that was happening. I love Mark and Lexie and I really hope this daughter doesnt cause trouble, but its not in Lexie's character to run away, so I hope Mark and Lexie make it.

Yes it was the last episode for the year. Episode 11 comes out January 14th!

Not looking forward to that wait!

OW MA GAWD O_O I fell so so SO in love with CristOwen again! Mark's daughter is a bitch (I mean come on, she is so NOT hotter than Lexie). Lexie was awesome, I really loved the "ouch" when she cut her finger. Also Mark's face was priceless when he met the girl; and I had a good laugh at: "I have a teenager. What if she wants to got to college?".
I think it wasn't enough MerDer and I missed Callzona moments.
Bailey was wonderful (I really wanted to shout at her dad when he told her, he was ashamed of her :O).
What else? Ah. Where the hell was Izzie? I thought she would be back. I felt sorry for Alex. He's turning into a bitter..um..something. That reminds me of not seeing any Nosedive or Reed. Yay for that.
Teddy...yeah...all I have to say is: Leave CristOwen alone!:O

And one last question: Was this the last episode for this year?

@ someone: "To me, the only good thing about the episode was Teddy/Christina/Owen drama. Not because I'm a fan of Owenstina, I just think it was handled with some sensitivity and was not overdramatic, while still being very emotional. But I agree with firstmerposter- it does not seem very reasonable for Owen to bring Teddy to SGH."

I agree! It wasn't over dramatic like the other scenes. It doesn't look forced. It was a scene filled with emotions. Sensitivity? In a way, yes. After saying that Owen did have feelings for her all this time and say I am in love with Cristina in the end, it was cruel. Gosh! That was hurtful but I think it was needed in the scene. Teddy needed to know that.

  13. gail

@ GEn: "I thought for sure he was going to ravish her too. That was cruel what he did to her.
Kim Raver knows how to play in love, man. Their chemistry in that scene was pretty incredible. God knows I love me some Cristina/OH but damn! Let Teddy have him girl.
Curious to see if Hunt kisses Teddy like that."

I thought so too! That was really cruel. Now, it's harder to get over. A lot of "I/We should have's" for both of them. Kim Raver is a great actress! The scene was very convincing and intense! Contrary to what others are saying that it looks forced or manufactured. Now, I am curious to see that Owen and Teddy kiss!

I'm with everyone else. There was to much show for and hour. There should have been 3 eppys. Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years!!!! I am disappointed that I waited all week for this eppy and it wasn't all that good. I thought from the previews it was going to be great. But I did love the part where Der/AZ/Sloan all pitched in and got the child help. Hmmm Sloans daughter that is a useless story line. We all know that Sloan is a man-whore. And we all knew there had to be little Sloans out there. But why did we have to meet her? I was fine not knowing her. Bailey's dad kinda and ass. Again wasted time when we could have got to see the doctors we love and care about. The chief teaching Mer was sweet. I just hope there is no motive behind that, that will cause trouble for mer/der. Again poor Alex....I am getting more pissed at Izzy. She should have been with him through the holidays. I didn't always like Alex, but now it is breaking my heart that he is broke and hurt. I was beginning to warm

The only episode that to me it is liked has been that directed by Chandra Wilson and interpreted by Patrick Dempsey. The history between Mer and the Chief I dislike. I have revalued Thatcher and fact resolve the problems of the Chief to the wife, seen that in its work the woman never it has not born.

GA with no George and Izzie is a dark show with no heart.

Bring back George (even as ghost) and Izzie. This show is so boring without the two of them!

PS. Kim Raver's acting was great.

Christmas dinner was a bit of a disappointment. While Bailey's speech was interesting, it should not have taken up the whole Christmas scene. There should have been some kind of bittersweet Grey's classic scene and there was none.

The whole Mark/Railey story seemed very very forced and artificial to me. Ok, it is possible that he has a daughter, even that she finds him, etc, etc., but I really don't see how he can live with her and not talk to her at all, do not approach the topic of how long she wants to stay, Lexie becoming "friends" with her, and so on. They definitely would have talked about why she came to find him in the first place. I am not for melodramatic

i totally agree with jin, and i had NO idea that was sara ramirez singing in the dinner table scene! i was wondering throughout that scene, why are they playin this song so loud lol...then i remembered that the writers said she'd be singing in an upcoming epi. cool, she has a great voice.

Oh my Lord, I was on the edge of my seat watching this episode unfolds. Simply because of the Owen/Cristina scenes. The almost making love scenes was hot then to be paged by Teddy was I must admit sexy and funny. I sort of like how Cristina adores her so-called cardio god. To be honest I cannot help but like Teddy as a sort of a mentor for Cristina. But a threat to Owen/Critina's love hey I will be pissed indeed. I was really anxious to see Owen taking glances at Teddy. Then Cristina caught him. It was really intense. I could see how much Owen struggles with Teddy's confession but in the end his love for Cristina is so much stronger. Tears of joy upon hearing Owen "Im inlove with Cristina". Best Christmas gift. Thanks Shonda! The scene where Cristina's love for Owen was undeniably unconditional was when she was ready to let him go if he ever chooses Teddy. She loves him so much that she will never pressure him at all. This is the reason why Owen loves Cristina the reason they will love

  21. deme

I don't like as Krista wrote this episode.I think that three events must be written in three episode. The christmas's day in the Mer's house is ruined by Miranda's argument with her father, the thanksgiving is terrible, only the last year there was a little love scene in the midnight. The scene that i prefer Owen and cri uot the hospital and the patient out of the hospital. There wasn't a great love scene, between uor couple only with Owina. These were the first holidays between MerDER after the post-it,Mark and Lexie,Callie and Arizona...the season is a delusion for me, but to Shonda loves still ga or not, i seems as no...this episode maybe a great episode ,if were written much better. Now we must wait the new-yera for another episode, i think only that Shonda thoughs to doing something of better.I didn't see that i wanted to see...

"Honestly, I really thought Owen would pick Teddy. I was, literally, on the edge of my seat during that confrontation scene."

Yeah, I was in another room and heard the "energy" of the scene and ran back in to rewind. I thought for sure he was going to ravish her too. That was cruel what he did to her.
Kim Raver knows how to play in love, man. Their chemistry in that scene was pretty incredible. God knows I love me some Cristina/OH but damn! Let Teddy have him girl.

And I wish someone would show these men how to kiss women. Derek pecks/bites Meredith when he kisses her and Owen looks like he's wrestling poor Cristina and rushing through it roughly, not connecting in the least.

The art of kissing men, learn it please!

Curious to see if Hunt kisses Teddy like that.

And I would be remiss if I did not mention: Bring back Burke. :-)

  23. jin

bottom line - too much stuff, so little time. it felt rushed and it felt really off. still love the show though, let's just make that clear. more calzona please, they have such great chemistry.

I liked the episode but there were too much for only an hour, it would have been so much better if they did a 2 hour episode!!

Mer/Der cute scene at the begining but seriosly only 20 seconds together???! There should be so more screen time for them, come on!!

Owina: I am glad that Owen chose Cristina. They were HOT!!

Alex: Where the hell was Alex?! God I missed him! He should have been at the dinner with the rest!!

Riley/Mark/Lexie: I didn't like Mark's daughter at all. Lex and her are like sisters.. arguing like sisters do. Derek made me laugh when he told Mark 'Your kids are fighting' LOL!! And I really love Mexie but I have a feeling that Lex might bailing out to all of this.. especially now that Riley is pregnant maybe.. a baby in the house too hmmm.. and Mark a grandpa and Lexie a step grandma??! So wierd!! I seems bad things to Mark and Lexie.

Callie/Arizona: There weren't any scenes together. And Callie should have been at the dinner too. And wow the voice of Sara

I'm about done with greys. too much drama this season and a month and a half break? Its already pulled from my DVR list after this episode. I felt like it was bad acting. If your gonna get a daughter for mcsteamy, get one that can act. this was bad.
