I like how awkward the situation is for Teddy and Owen. While Owen tries to explain things to her, Teddy keeps on dodging the issue. Then Teddy told the story about the "snow maker machine" story to Cristina. Dr. Avery cracked me up when he was mocking them. hahaha! Owen told Cristina that Teddy is a sucker for christmas. Now, she's putting the pieces together. The moment came when Cristina saw Owen looked at Teddy in a different kind of way. Honestly, I really thought Owen would pick Teddy. I was, literally, on the edge of my seat during that confrontation scene. The truth came out. Boundaries were set. He said it. He loves Cristina. It broke my heart when Owen blurt it out and see Teddy like that. Isn't it obvious? I like Teddy. I'm all for that triangle. Any direction would be suitable but I think OC is the best choice. I wonder how will this play out on the next episode. Will there be tension?

This was very disappointing. As others have said, it was too choppy, no fluidity. The writing is terrible. The dialogue between Bailey and her father was just odd. The scenes with Derek and Meredith were ???? I can't think of a word for it. Not their fault, Just terrible writing for them, terrible writing for Meredith and the Chief. Do the writers know what the other writers write? There is really no continuity with the character stories from episode to episode. Now the Chief is bringing up Ellis all the time with Meredith. There's no way that the strong Meredith would just look at him and do nothing about his drinking. The Chief apologizes to Derek and it's one line, that's a critical part of the story that has been going on for several episodes, and then it's one line? It seemed like the writing was getting back to the way it was in seasons 1 through 3, but now it's weird. Have the writers watch seasons 1 through 3 and get it together. I don't miss Izzie, find someone

OK, while I still think the Teddy triangle thing feels forced or manufactured, I now think it was in keeping within Owen's character-- So he loves Cristina so much that it does not matter that he used to love (with beet red face and gritted teeth) Teddy so intensely because Cris, his permanenet love, needs a mentor and he doesn' tcare who it is. But it still feels for forced because I just don;t get why a grown woman who is tough enough for war would go to a city she has no connection for a man who did not call her for romance. ALso forced is Owne telling her he used to dig her and then, psych!, he loves Cris. While I am happy becuase I want him with Cris, it was cruel to pull the rug out from under Teddy like that. Didn;t you all think he was going to ravish Teddy and then he professes his Cristina love. Not very Owen-like. THe Baily dad stuff was also forced. But the Chief thing is very real; relapsed alcoholics do terrible thigns to compensate for their troubles. Also the Ma

I was so disappointed with this episode.

Cristina/Owen was the best part of the entire episode. Although I did love Derek, Arizona and Mark paying for the kid's surgery. And Cristina's reaction to the guy's proposal! Priceless!!!!!!

    Everything else was so... :S

OMG!!! I made a screen name just to mention this because no one else did..i fell in love with the man who proposed to the heart-less woman. Could he have been any more perfect. Honestly i was just watching, not really that into it, and when he proposed my eyes just lit up.

anyways that aside, i love owen and cristina but he kind of scares me. He is like super passionate, i just imagine he would be this mass murderer if she ever tried to leave him... Derek was so hot donating his check like that.

Was that Sara Ramirez singing Silent Night at the Christmas dinner????

    izzieee, where are youu? :'(

This was way too choppy. They attempted to include all three holidays at once but it was a failed attempt, very similar to the 40-day S6 premiere.
I did like that Avery was the only Mercy Wester and that Derek and the Chief made up. I'm not a fan of the Mark + child storyline at all and I'll be happy when its over. The only new character I do like this year is Teddy. I love how she is finally making Cristina happy. And Owen telling her he was in love with Cristina was perfect. The Bailey storyline seemed like it was just kinda a filler, not really much even when they try to make it about her. And where was Alex?? I like the Chief mentoring Mer...don't like him as a slobbering lying drunk. I liked how Thatcher tried to stand up against it, wished we could've seen more of his character.
Calzona was nonexistant in this episode. After they said their I-love-yous, what, they just float along magically happy forever with hardly any interaction? I miss watching their relationship develop,

Mer/Der: I am glad that things are going great for them. She plays the good wife to have these friends make up.

Lex/Mar: She should does know how to get her man to do the right things.

Chris/Owen: I am glad that he chose Christina in the end and told her that he loved her and he wants her more than anything. Please keep them together.

Bailey: I can see a little bit of the Nazi coming back. You go girl.

This episode was actually pretty good (but I think the last 3 episodes were a whole lot better) I loved that there was a lot of BAILEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I missed her. My favorited scene of the night was when bailey was confronting her father @ the table and the end about the divorce.

C/O- I was @ the edge of my seat when Teddy and Owen were in that room I was like "DON'T DO IT!" but I calmed down when Owen said that he loved Christina

Mer/Chief-Ok I officialy feel sorry for the chief right now after all the anger that I have had for him since he fired Izzie and the merger I now feel pity with him relapsing in his alcoholic days. I don't like how Mer is rolling with this, the least she could do is tell Derek about this (Not telling Der about the chief's drinking I predict will be one of the Mer/Der problems in the coming future)

Mer/Der-Not a lot of scenes. What's the deal?

Barely any Alex scenes-did not make me happy either I love Alex scorned or not and I really do hope

How Alex fans feel this episode is how we George fans felt for a year and a half.

It's so wrong to do a holiday episode without George and Izzie, when they were the most into this thing.

I miss George and I miss Gizzie. Izzie hasn't been the same without her George. Alex just doesn't seem to get her the way George did.

Then he never did, which is why I never shipped AI.

I knew Mark's reaction had to mean he knew! I like where they are going with the whole mature Mark thing but I really wish someone different was cast as his daughter. I think it would have been better to have someone who actually looked 17-18. I am interested to see it all play out BUT I hope Mark & Lexie make it! I too wish this episode would have been two hours. It was too choppy and rushed!

  14. amber

ware the heck was Alex he was only in on scene come one we need alex and please bring back Izzie he is noting with out her

  15. peyton

Also Marks daughter WTF!?!?!?!? Sorry for the strong lang...lol but.. OMG.. the whole thing was stupid... waste of an hour..

  16. Nicole

I thought the episode was okay.
Where the heck was Alex? and Callie?
I especially missed Alex, he is my favorite character, though he was in a pretty funny scene...
Izzie needs to come back and they need to sort things out once and for all.
Oh, and by the way,I thought Sara Ramirez's version of Silent Night was amazing :)

I didn't love the episode but it has been a good one. I love all of KV's writing and this is no exception.

Too much for one hour? Yes. I'd love to see the holidays separated into episodes or at least make it two hours or focus on ONE holiday (I'd prefer NY, it's my favorite holiday). It seems that the writer's are setting up the SLs for next year.

I thought Bailey's breakdown was great. It was about time that she had a fallout. She even put her dad in her place. Way to go Bailey!

I was a little out on the Riley/Mark thing. I'd thought there be some kind of confrontation of any type (like the one that they had at the end) but nothing. I loved his conversations with Derek. Why can't we have more of those two together? Also, I'm seeing Lexie bailing out.

Also a way to go to Derek and Arizona (and Mark after being pushed by Derek) for giving up their money to fix a patient.

I like Owen and Cristina together but I can't help to root for Teddy. She's becoming Addison.

  18. peyton

AWFUL EPISODE! Could've been done really well and still had all three holidays. No scene was long enough.. the only things i liked were the O/C stuff ad even then it was just blah! if this keeps up.. no more watching for me..! and no more crossovers... BORING!! CRAP!

  19. Amanda

This episode was.. just alright. I usually think the episodes are awesome, but this has been the first episode in a very long time that I felt was just okay. It felt way too rushed and felt like everyone was rather distant. There were far too many major things happening in a very crushed timeline. They should have spaced things out a little more, maybe over two episodes, instead of just jamming it all in one episode.

Yeah this episode had it's pitfalls, and most of it was in the plot continuity. But as I have said before I'm with this show til the long run!!! I am an ABC fan!!!

Cristina/Owen material was great. Owen's emotions on his face always wrench your heart!!!!!!
And when he told cardio goddess he was in love with Cristina I gave a cheer!!! Haha.

I think Alex wasn't in the epi alot to not have us miss Izzie too much. And while I'm not a fan of her new attitude in life, it will be nice to have her back in the fold. So not so much Alex then not so much Izzie. Although with the plot falls, Alex and Mer are pretty close, and it was not cool to not have him at the table, I thought that was unrealistic.

LOVED LOVED the scene with Arizona, Mark, and Derek!!! Way to go Attendings! Like that their switching up who hangs/works together this season.

Also like the Cailey interaction or Ballie if you prefer hahaha....

So yeah they need to pull some things together, but I'm not worried wit

Hope the GA folks read this. I love Owen and Cristina, so I was completely grateful that they are together, but the drama with Teddy is so manufactured. It makes no sense that Owen, such a good, solid guy, would bring someone he used to have REALLY INTENSE feelings for (as McKidd's beet red face and clenched teeth told us) as a mentor for Cristina. I can get that he loved someone else, got over it, and truly loves Cristina now, but no person with half a brain would have brought Teddy in. Also, I now Cristina is supposed to be intensely focused, but she should have grown a bit in the bedside manner department by now; it's season six! That being said, KEEP OWENSTINA TOGETHER Shonda!!!!

What happened to the Grey's we all fell in love with. I'd like to see the great stories again.

  23. Sophie

I agree about Bailey. I thought that dinner scene was going to be something lighthearted but it turned into a dramatic showdown between Bailey and her father, which is cool--great, but I wanted something more. I mean all these people at one table, it could have been a splendid scene. But I guess Bailey's speech was supposed to touch everyone in that scene, effect them in some way I guess.

Where can I go to find the songs?

I also agree that the three holidays in one episode didn't leave room for much story, and that there was too much of Bailey. Her father showing up was a good idea, but it was just too much. There coul've been more Calzona, for example, or Alex.

By the way, where the heck was Alex in the episode??? I really missed him and his character is really lost without Izzie.
I really hope they work it through cause they're one of my favorite couples!

Now Mark and Lexie and the daughter is a good storyline. Can't wait to see what's next on that. And I really hope Mexie go through it, cause they are my other favorite couple ;)

Well, now it's wait and see what awaits ys in 2010.
