Ed's a great actor but I think Leighton's the best one in GG. She's more versatile. Ed is great, but I see him outstanding when he's given only drama. Other than that, not so much.

This episode rocked, and Ed rocked as well...but SERIOUSLY guys, an Emmy??? Don't get carried away...I agree with you, he is great and let's admit that he has a fantastic character to play. He improved so much, but an EMMY?! A nomination. Maybe.
If you want to see actors who truly deserved an emmy, then take a look at the cast of I don't know, let's say West Wing. Ed can act...but to recieve an emmy,and to truly become an actor, he still has so much to learn (and I think he will)...
Don't hate me, I just don't get this over-excitement for his acting..but I DO LOVE his portrayal of Chuck!!!

i think ed and leighton are both amazing actors and work the better with eachother, so it's tie for me. they make blair and chuck so awesome, that even when the writers completly forget them you still root for them. but last episode was AMAZING for chair

This was the best episode of the season. I agree with everyone else who says that EW deserves and emmy and chace is getting better, acting wise and getting better story lines.
Plus, Nate must really have a good arm. Have you ever noticed that when he punches people he's super pissed at that they just topple backwards?

- I think I'm gonna vote for Blake Lively though they were all pretty good this episode, I thought she had a good scene before she went in the car with Trip and the scenes in the hospital were pretty good.

I'm happy to read that everyone unanimously agrees that Ed Westwick literally OWNED the episode just through those few scenes he acted in. That man is PRICELESS indeed. His acting is award-winning material - I almost cried AGAIN watching him.
As for Chace, he would have definitely gotten the Hero of the Day award. Its the first time I've actually cheered for his acting as Nate punched Trip in the face. Gossip Girl's quote about the rise of a hero couldn't be more accurate.

Fav actor for this episode? Definitely, Ed. But bearing in mind that Leighton's and "Bart's" generous supporting toles made all their scenes so moving and powerful.
Most improved, Chace. Blake is as solid as ever. Penn too. Jessica's Vanessa is now less annoying, thanks to her more annoying over-bearing mom. Hahaha.

OMGIEEE, at first I thought BArt BAss was back, I was repeating the OMG word every time i saw BArt, LOL :)) but then, it was just CHuck bass's imagination, phewww..thank God. AND JENNY!? a drug dealer?? I wasn't really shock, I mean she had it coming, she always comes to the dark side and regret it later- well, i guess she have to learn that in a hard way...
and uhhm.. didnt really care about Dan and Vanessa right now,

C'mon, Nate deserves so much better than Serena. I'm just not feeling this couple...! He deserves someone like Blair. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% a Chair fan. It's just that I'd like to see Nate with someone who truly loves himand cares about his feelings... He's such a nice guy!

In terms of acting Chace gets most improved but Ed stole the show. In regards to whose the better actor between Ed and Leighton I honestly don't know because I change my mind so much on that topic but I do know that when giving great storylines to work with they bring the best out of each other.
Also, best quote is a tie between "He's a douche" so funny, and the sincere "Thank you" from Chuck to Blair.

I think Rufus is too much of a romantic to go through with it... however, someone foreshadowed a little "bunny-boiler" plot, and I think that's totally plausible.
Tripp is an egotistical SOB, but Maureen? She's just deliciously evil... Love her!
And congrats for making me actually interested in a Jenny storyline for the first time... But Ed's performance ruled the night... his ability to imbue 2 simple words "I know" with so much nuance (when Blair tells him he's not his father) speaks to his talent as much as his hospital scene. Sadly, the Emmys are quite a snobbish bunch - they rarely deign to nominate a "minor" network actor, no matter how talented.

Ed is the best actor on this show hands down. the guy so versatile and I can buy any part he plays. i can't wait to see wuthering heights.
I haven't seen Leighton in any other memorable performances other than as Blair. She is by far the best female actress but Ed is the best actor out of the whole cast.
