Grey's Anatomy Flashback to Show Intern Bailey?
We've been reading casting notes, details and spoilers for days already. Now here's the latest on the upcoming flashback episode from Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly ...
Q: Could we have some Grey’s Anatomy scoop, please?
A: The show’s big flashback episode - slated to air in February/March - will reveal the toll Ellis’ career (as well as her affair with Richard) took on a 4-year-old Meredith.
On a different note, there’s also buzz that the episode will show us Dr. Bailey’s days as a Seattle Grace intern and introduce us to the Nazi supervisor who schooled her.
Now that's a new, interesting wrinkle ...

Since they're doing flashbacks, I wonder if Faye Dunaway's character, Dr. Margaret Campbell, will make an appearance. Maybe she was Bailey's instructor, at least, indirectly, as an attending.
Usually, it's PGY-II to PGY-IV residents that immediately surpervise PGY-I residents (interns), so I can't imaagine Campbell being Bailey's direct instructor, but maybe she'll be one of the attendings that Bailey's resident reports to.

No way is Bailey pushing 50. She's younger than that, considering Webber is in his fifties.
No matter how late Bailey started her surgical career, traveling back to when she was an intern will still only be five to six years back from GA-current time. The timeline with GA is kind of messy because even though 6 years have passed since its premiere, in-universe time has only moved 3 years ahead: from PGY-I of GS-residency to PGY-III of GS-residency.

I agree perfectly with you David. It is GREY'S ANATOMY.. of course it is going to focus manly on Meredith and the people around her!!

You people have very good ideas about all the story... nice, probably Shonda look this site for ideas once in a while!!! Sorry for you marie and others that don't like Meredith issues, of course everybody has problems but don't forget... you're watching GREY'S ANATOMY... it's all about Meredith and people around her, not people around her... and sometimes Meredith... not at all... I really would like to know the past of all of then, because is their past, what make them what they are now!!!!

As long as they don´t make this story about meredith and how she´s all broken I will watch this episode. I´m tired of meredith´s issues. Everyone has problems, amd lots of us had a dificult childhood. Enough already. I am interested in the chief´s story though.

I think the Mer's father being Thatch has been laid to rest now with the fact that only Mer was his cross match for doanting a section of her liver to him. Plus the Thatch muddling how is granddaughter looked like Molly when the picture was of Meredith

From what I read elsewhere we see Bailey's resident who is considered to be the 'nazi'.
I guess the S3 flashbacks were for MAGIC, Der and Ad. Now it's the chief and Bailey's turn.
I hope the writers don't feel the need to do this with any other characters.

I think that maybe Mer is the Chief's dauther.Infact Thatcher reveals his wife guilty secreats and he decides to left her.The Chief ,after the read of the Ellis's daries discovers that Mer is his dauther and no Jackson.

I think that we are going to see the doctor who trained Bailey. That doctor was the same generation as Richard and Ellis, not Bailey's intern year.

all i know is that derek is going to flip when he finds out the chief has been using mer.
