I thought it before...Avery is the Ellis and Richard's son,but Mer was five yeras old when Tatcher lefts Ellis maybe because Ellis was pregant by Richard and Richard becomes alcohist because Ellis gaves her son up in apdotion.This seems the only explanation for me.

Hope it doesn't take too long, sounds kind of boring (don't care that much about the old history) and it might mean there won't be a lot of screentime for the others...
But maybe it's interesting after all, just have to wait for that.

All the now residents are around 31. It was pretty weird for me when I figured that out. Remember the episode when Callie explains to Meredith's vet boyfriend that they're all basically still in high school because the long years in med school meant they were all socially/romatically retarded.

And yes she must be about 31, remember she didn't go to med school right away, so she must be a at least a year older than the others (I'm thinking of the original five). And since Izzie is 29 ...

People Meredith 31 years old. In the casting side it says that Mer was 4 in 1982, so she was born in 1978, Meredith is 31 years old can not believe it.

I'm so excited. But it wouldn't be all flashback right? Since they've confirmed that Ellen will appear in every episode this season.
