Smallville Movie Scoop: Death Leads to Justice Society of America Appearance

at .

On February 5, Smallville will air "Absolute Justice."

This two-hour event is receiving a great deal of hype - and deservedly so. It will introduce Clark to the Justice Society of America, mainly represented by Hawkman (Michael Shanks), Dr. Fate (Brent Stait) and Stargirl (Britt Irvin).

What actually prompts this much-ballyhooed meeting?

“I can’t say too much about this, but there is a death that occurs at the beginning of the episode,” Irvin told Fancast.com. “And that brings [the JSA] together with Clark and his team.”

Doctor Fate and Stargirl

Not all characters get along well at first, Irvin added, saying: “Stargirl has a bit of friction with Green Arrow at the beginning, as does Hawkman."

The actress, who has a recurring role on V as Haley Stark, concluded by emphasizing her character's "special connection" with Clark. How come?

"Because he reminds her a lot of her mentor,” she said, remaining mum on that mentor's identity and stating that Stargirl realizes “[Clark is] very important for mankind.”

Consider us properly teased, Britt. We can't wait for this unique episode.
