Spartacus: Blood and Sand Receives (Very Early) Second Season Pick-Up
Talk about a vote of confidence.
A month before Spartacus: Blood and Sand premieres on Starz, the network has already renewed this series for a second season.
The action-adventure, which focuses on the tale of the iconic title character's life as a gladiator, debuts on January 22. Production on its 13-episode second season will begin around that same time, an incredibly unusual, intriguing move.
It's hard not to get excited for Spartacus: Blood and Sand as a result. Viewers are often wary to get too attached to a show that could be canceled after just a few weeks, but this announcement eliminates that concern.
