Gossip Girl is on hiatus until March 8 while the CW premieres its new show Life Unexpected. When it finally returns, 10 new episodes will air in as many weeks.

Look for Serena and Nate to heat up as a couple on those episodes.

Fans who've been campaigning for Nate (Chace Crawford) to hook up with Serena (Blake Lively) all of last fall will finally get their wish, Chace himself confirms.

"There's a couple gratuitous scenes in Chuck and Nate's suite. Then some stuff happens at a party at the French Embassy," Crawford tells TV Guide Magazine.

The Gossip Girl pilot featured a sexy flashback involving a wedding, booze and Serena riding Nate on a bar stool. Gulp. That spark has been there throughout.

Still, Serena dated Dan for parts of two seasons, then had flings with Carter Baizen and Nate's cousin Trip. Nate, meanwhile, dated pretty much everyone.

When Season 3 resumes, however, Serena "goes all out" when she puts together Nate's birthday party, involving what Chace calls an "assassin type game."
