izzie is starting to remind me how ava use to leave and come back everyother episode. katherine heigl is not leaving the show however, on shonda rhimes twitter she states that she is still on the show for good and "things may happen between alex and izzie, but they are meant to be together, don't forget that". katherine heigl just adopted a two year old, she really deserves this maternity leave.

Who cares if she comes back. She has been gone so often I for one don't even miss her. It is shocking...But the show has went on without her. And it has been really good. I love the way they was show casing each actor for the 2 eppy's. I hope they continue that after the break. Wow one more week and we will have our show back. I can't wait!!! I have really missed my doctors:)

I read that 612 was shot before her request for maternity leave, so it's why KH leaves again.
It'd make sense if Alex has his ONS after Izzie leaves for the second time but...at this point, who knows?

I'm really glad that Izzie is coming back to try to work things out. The fact that she's leaving again has me thinking that they won't work everything out but they are making a start but again it's GA so u don't know what will happen

I hope she comes back for good its so confusing...she leaves, Comes back, leaves again!? i mean if shes not going to be on all the time they should make her a temporary cast member.
They need Izzy on the show no matter what/. I think if izzy goes ppl will stop watching and the show wont make it.
And i dont see why on the show durring holiday time no one misses izzy she was a really good friend!
Grey's is a great show, but i think it is slowly dieing.
i dont think it will make another 1yr.
But thats just me

I doubt reconciliation, or at least a full one, since KH leaves once again. I really don't care for Izzie but for Alex's sake, hopefully she'll make good of things.

I am so happy she is coming back. I hope they reconcile. Make peace. I also hope she doesn't leave anymore. I love Izzie. She is one of my favorite characters.

Is Katherine Heigl actually still a real cast member? Is she even returning next Season? I am really unhappy that she has taken all of these "temporary" leaves of absences. She's around for one episode and then disappears again. It's looking to be more permanent than temporary.
I want her to return as a full time cast member. Season 6 has been great even though she hasn't been around, but the show is not really the same without Izzie. At least TR Knight's character George had a storyline that was properly closed off when he left the show. With Izzie coming and going I just don't know what to think and it's quite unsettling. I'd rather they just made a decision and either keep her or write some kind of ending for her storyline. This back and forth stuff just isn't working..

Perhaps they reconcile, but Izzie doesn't get her job back... than she would have to work somewhere else for a while, so she wouldn't be in the picture too often... I'm just HOPING!!!

yeahhhh!!! me too!! I love alex and izzie together and I'm glad to read that izzie wants to reconcile with her husband but if she leaves again, I think that means alex will tell her about the cheating and I'm not really excited about this..
