Leighton shouldn't leave her day job for THIS at any rate! She's a fine actress but the song is nothing special.
How come gginsider hasn't posted The Pretty Reckless' official new song "make me wanna die"? Biased much??

I love it!!!!! Love Leighton, she is an AWESOME actress, but I also think she can sing too! Good girls go bad proved that, and I like the genre she does as long as you can hear her voice and she is singing not talking like in somebody to love. But I really love this song!!! Can not WAIT to hear her song with lil wayne
Forgetting the lyrics, I like the sound of it. She actually sings, which is nice. The electronic layering of her voice is great.
That said... when you combine the bubble-gum flavored melody with the drug references in the lyrics... it's just... wrong. It's seems insensitive to the actual issue of drug addiction. Usually, when you hear lyrics like that, the song is more downbeat. Or there might be one line about being addicted to someone. But to make a whole upbeat song entitled "Your Love is a Drug" feels really off. Maybe if it had a more sexual edge to it, it would be better.
She sounds great... but I can't like the song on a fundamental level.

I think that Leighton has a pretty voice, but I'm not terribly impressed with the songs off of her album. I prefer Birthday, Bette Davis Eyes, and Good Girls Go Bad. While Your Love is a Drug is not awful like STL was, but it's also not memorable.
reminds me of the teen acts from the '80s. not a big fan of her music.

I wish she sang in a different genre...and gave herself some training time to fine tune her voice and her singing style. I think she is a good singer, as noted in the clips below.. but she needs some more time to find her style.

I like this single and looking forward to the album. For some reason as good an actress as she is her videos and live performances are horrible but listening to the songs alone there fun , catchy, good beats and decent vocals . Leighton is two steps above Heidi Montag for sure.

I love it... I think she has the potential to succeed in both acting and music. We just need to give her a chance cuz both careers are completely different.
