Scrubs Review: "Our White Coats"

at .

The new Scrubs is finally starting to find its niche with J.D. finally out of the cast.  While it may not have been as good as early seasons of Scrubs, "Our White Coats" was easily as good as any of the later J.D. led seasons of the show.

Drew and Denise Have Issues

In a way, the episode still cheated by having Sarah Chalke guest starring and being involved in all three storylines, but Drew and Denise both continue to stand out as true show leaders, while Dr. Cox and Turk never feel out of place amongst the new cast.

We definitely love seeing the much more confident Elliot mentoring Lucy, but we're going to keep sound like a broken record and hope to see how the new cast handles the show once even she is gone as a crutch.

Unfortunately, we're sure it's for nothing since ABC is rushing to get rid of its Scrubs episodes in January and there will likely be no season ten with its ratings, but we're going to give this episode a B+.

Now for our favorite Scrubs quotes from the half hour:

Perry: To recap, what is the number one attribute all medical school students share with this skeleton?
Lucy: The hollow area of nothing in the skull?
Perry: Exactly. | permalink
Kelso: Can I do the interview with that little number in the second row? She said I reminded her of her grandfather and I think I can use that to at least get her top off.
Cox: You're a hell of an educator, Bob.
Kelso: I do it for them. | permalink
Lucy: You've never been to Maine and you were college roommates with Michael Bolton.
Cox: Yes and the latter fuels most of my anger. | permalink
Cole: I hope the school has insurance, because my keynote speech is gonna blow the roof off this mother. | permalink

Perry: To recap, what is the number one attribute all medical school students share with this skeleton?
Lucy: The hollow area of nothing in the skull?
Perry: Exactly.

Elliot: I would never give birth under a tree, although JD and I did conceive this baby under one. It was a Christmas tree. Not in our house. It was still on the lot. We made a lot of Christians uncomfortable that day.
Lucy: I once got felt up in a pumpkin patch.
Elliot: Don't you just love the holidays?
