I hope to see more scenes of Little Grey and Dr. Sloan. Hoping so badly they'll be more stories about them being together, helping each other developing a strong good character. ^^

I just want to talk about one couple...
Alex/Izzie- Ok so yeah in a way Izzie was being selfish in leaving and not keeping in contact with Alex, i can see where he would be more than a little miffed and dissapointed in her. But seriously!? They are MARRIED! meaning this isnt just a simple oh im breaking up with you kind of thing. MARRIED and he slept with someone else, because she was gone for some time, he should've known she needed time, she should've told him she needed time. Regardless, i think that he's the one who hasnt grown at all.

Totally agree with you MVJ.
Anyway, I've just found this and NOW I'M really confused:
Callie and Arizona may be secure, but Alex and Izzie (Katherine Heigl) are about to head down a path of destruction. “Maybe the big D’s going to happen,” Chambers said. The big D, of course, stands for divorce. “I think he’ll always have something in his heart for Izzie. I know that even when they divorce, if they divorce … he loves her very much.”
Alex’s surprising hook-up with Lexie last week probably hindered any chance of a healthy marriage with Izzie, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to start up a relationship with Lexie now. “All these characters have slept together, so he was just rebounding. It was more or less a one night stand. I don’t think there’s going to be a relationship there. He’s still pining for Izzie.”
The Alex Izzie thing makes no sense at all! When you find one true love in life and you go through what they went though, you don't tell that person to leave. You could fight and may be even take a break from each other, but you don't tell that person to leave. It makes no sense!

I have been an avid fan of GA since the beginning; loving every moment - but am now wondering what has happened to the show I loved. Last night may have been the bottom...sloppy lesbians and sloppy Owen. And why choose Kim Raver??? Another in that role would have been better in the story line. She and Owen can get out for the betterment of the show. Good story line for Derek and Chief. Sorry about Izzy. Hope that Little Grey and McSteamy can work out their problems. I'll watch again, but unless script improves and role choices are better, I will not watch any longe.

Oh my God. I'm still so shocked. I watched the episode and until the last 10 minutes I was convinced that Alex would forgive Izzie. That he already had, when she was lying in the scan! But to see her so heartbroken! Don't get me wrong, I understand Alex. He's disappointed that she has just left and maybe he has been growing since season 1. And it's right. He's a good guy and Izzie helped him to realize that. He doesn't need her anymore. But to leave her just like that. It's the behavior of old Alex towards one of his ex-girlfriends. He is letting her in the imagination that he wants her back and than he just says that he is thankful that she showed him how to love himself, but now he can't stay with her, because she ran away out of no reason without telling him. She did one little mistake in their complete relationship and he dumpes her like that????
Anyway, in my opinion Alex doesn't need her anymore to see that he is a great guy (and let's admit it. He was. Just think of that beauti

I disagree wit u at the end of the episode alex made it seem like he went through all the chemo and surguries. when izzie did it all and plus in november when she came back he knew where she was at and didn't even try to go get her and make her come back home. I feel like alex played with izzie's emotions because he knew what she had come back for and he made her think that they were going to reconcile. But at the end her to her to leave and never come back. Even though cheated on her twice. If you love someone don't treat them like crap. I think if alex didn't want her there was a better way to tell izzie. I think he just needs time to get back out there and realize how much he loved izzie and go get her.

Ann, to answer your question, there is a medical advisor on the show. She's actually an extra in most scenes. I can't remember her name, unfortunately. I didn't see the episode, so I'm not sure how they portrayed the chicken pox issue.
And from reading your responses, I'm sorta glad I didn't watch. I've been a little off from liking the show for a while now. After Season 3, it hasn't been the same for me. I'm not starting any arguments, just giving my two cents. I still enjoy the premise of the show, and am still interested in the characters, but making time to watch it hasn't been my priority, and if Alex and Izzie are going to be doomed, I might not want to see it anyway.

Not really a strong episode, but it was a turning point for most of the couples on the show.
It annoyed me that Meredith was in denial about the Chief for so long. She saw what alcoholism could do to a person when her father came to the hospital asking for a new liver. Now she was going to allow the Chief, her surrogate father, go through the same ordeal? Meredith and the Chief both had ulterior motives for turning in the Chief, but this really was the best for everyone. The Chief won't "accidently" kill anyone, and he would finally have time to battle this addiction.
Christina/Owen/Teddy triangle. Eek! I absolutely love Christina/Owen! And, I totally understand where Christina is coming from, wanting to choose surgery over love. It sucks that she hadn't had a good cardio surgeon to learn from for the past few years. She's getting a little desperate. But, I love how Owen told Christina that she wasn't going to lose him so easily. I think it was only fair for Owen to show her th

The end really broke my heart. Izzie just went through hell and she needed time to breathe. She came back and tried to make things right, and this is what happens?! How can Alex not forgive her? She's forgiven him for pleanty of things in the past. There's no way they can ever be with anyone else. They were made for eachother. And really, this storyline is bullsh*t.

It's interesting that all the couples had a bumpy ride in their relationships today. But life is never smooth, and the ratings need some conflict.
It was nice that happy MerDer was allowed for so long. So Der did give away her secret, and the hospital board won't be broadcasting their chief is an alcoholic. But I can't see how the chief, er Richard could return to his old job. Adele would want him to retire, wouldn't she? But not under these circumstances.
But it will be entirely wierd that the temporary chief has got house mates. Hopefully Mer will open her eyes to the fact Richard was circling the plug, and Der had no alternative. I hope that MerDer's understanding of each other will grow with this. I hope no one will think Mer is being favored cos her post it husband status has been elevated.
I find it odd that a man who had a severe crisis in confidence in his abilities, beat up his best friend in front of everyone at the hospital, and got married on a post it can be consid

Great episode!
So sad for Izzie/Alex though.
What a jerk though,He could hate her for what? Needing some space to deal with cancer, death of a friend and job loss? Sorry but new Alex has proven to be a selfish jerk. She's always having to worry about him, he hasn't grown at all. Cause he feels bad about sleeping with someone else and ofcourse he blames her for that too!
But what a surprise for him if Derek becomes chief and gives Izzie her job back. Then he can watch her move on, like he wanted her too!
Don't get me wrong I love this couple but the whole wounded little boy thing has gotten a little hard to stomache! He really does need room to get away and grow!

Mark Sloan is a complete hypocrite. Lexie had a one night stand..he hooked up with Addison for a weekend, or more. They were just as broken up when Lexie slept with Alex as when Mark slept with Addy, Mark told Lexie he'd chose Sloan Sloan over her, so technically he dumped her, not the other way around...and what makes mark think he has all the rights to the hurting and pain involved in the breakup? Lexie was hurting too. I love Slexie more then any other couple on Grey..I hope we see them get back together, but right now Mark is a McAss.

My husband died of mesothelioma 4 years ago. I now council families with a member of this type of cancer. I find it very hard to deal with the fact that your medical staff used this type of cancer. It was stated that with surgery it would be treatable, I would ask them to check the correct info on mesothelioma. It would have made the same impact if "lung cancer" was stated - not a type memtioned. Several types of lung cancer are treatable with just surgery, mesothelioma is not one of them.

this episode was the turning point in just about everyone's relationships.
i can't wait to see how meredith and derrick's relationship will change when he becomes chief. that should be interesting considering how close meredith got with the chief. i also wonder how this will effect her and richard's relationship as well. and how bailey knew that something was wrong and went to derrick about it. i think its going to bring derrick and bailey possibly closer because she went to him for help.
i was never a huge fan of mark and lexie. i dont really like lexie. she is very young still and i find her annoying. on the other hand, she did help mark to grow up but i think now he is better off without her. now he can find someone who deserves to be with him.
