Zach Woods: The New Jan on The Office

by at . Comments

As previously reported, Kathy Bates is coming to The Office. She'll play Jo, the head of the company that purchased Dunder Mifflin on the 2009 finale.

But the Oscar winner won't be walking into the funniest show on TV alone.

Zach Woods is also joining the show for multiple episodes. He'll take on the role of a crony named Gabe who "fills the role that Jan used to have,” said producer Greg Daniels. “He’s the guy who goes from branch to branch, whom people have to report to.”

This will mark Woods' first role on TV. He most recently appeared in the James Gandolfini film In the Loop.

I had the chance to meet him on the set of The Office. He was extremely nice, and asked us lots of questions about us. He also was willing to take some silly pics of the two of us fake fighting in the conference room. Really awesome guy.

I ran into Zach Woods yesterday he was extremely nice and didnt mind posing for multiple pictures with me and my family. Definately a cool dude.

I ran into Zach Woods in NYC today while he was waiting for a friend. I approached him and found him to very personable and truly humble. Unlike most stars, he seemed genuinely interested in me, the "star stalker". I will be an even bigger fan of his career going forward.
