Beau Garrett Cast as Female Lead on Criminal Minds Spin-Off
CBS has found a beautiful partner for Forest Whitaker.
The Oscar-winner, who will anchor this fall's Criminal Minds spin-off, will be teamed with Beau Garrett, the network announced today.
The spin-off drama will revolve around a new group of profilers, all of whom are introduced on an episode of the original show this spring, just as CBS did with NCIS/NCIS: Los Angeles.
This team will be led by a character named Cooper (Whitaker), who works outside the FBI bureaucracy.
Garrett will portray his Gina, a recent FBI recruit who is loyal to Cooper. The actress has guest-starred on shows such as Entourage and House.
