How to Make It in America Review: "Crisp"

at .

Last night kicked off the second episode of How to Make It in America. So far we are still interested in what this show has to offer.

In "Crisp", we see that these two guys are making baby steps into the designer jean world.

How To Make It In America Characters

We like the writers ability to show that stepping into this world wouldn't be a piece of cake. This brought in a sense of realism to the show that we like. We want to see our main characters struggle and have a hard time making their dreams come true. This is one element that Entourage is missing.

Last week we got some entertaining responses about our undying love for Ben. This week we will try to leave it out. But, really, how can you not find this guy attractive?

It would be interesting to see the line of jeans, Crisp, actually make it out in real life - kind of like the TrueBlood drink.

Speaking of, have any of you ever tried it? If so, did you like it? We've only heard that it is disgustingly super sweet.

Cam does have a way with words and looks like he will be the schmoozer of the show with Ben being the brains. Cam's ability to set up a meeting with the fashion designer was well played. We also liked their naivety when it comes to entering the fashion world. Big dreams and small plans to make is big. As much as many would say this is stupid and poorly planned, we think it shows their generations belief in good things will come with the fight to succeed.

We find Ben's ex-girlfriend quite annoying and hope that he will move on. Since she is a reoccurring character, we doubt that will happen and can only hope to find out more about her that may change our views on her.

Rene is still one of our favorite characters (well, besides Ben, obviously). We loved the scene with him walking his grandmother home hand in hand. He is like a big cuddly bear that could bite your head off if ever needed to do so. We wonder if he will become more of a ferocious bear or one that we can cuddle with. We're thinking that latter is not very likely.

Getting to know more about the characters was the basic point in the episode this week and we are still very interested in seeing how these guys will make It.

Until next week, we leave you with a couple How to Make It in America quotes after the jump!
