The CW has announced early renewals for five shows. They are:
- Gossip Girl
- The Vampire Diaries
- America's Next Top Model
Considering their ratings and popularity, none of these are a major surprise.
Supernatural creator Eric Kripke has said in the past that he wrote the show with a five-season arc in mind, but rumblings over the past month or so have made it clear he's up for a sixth season. He's now gotten his wish.
Following these pick-ups, fans of other CW dramas on the bubble - such as Melrose Place and Life Unexpected - will need to wait a bit longer before learning the second season fates of their shows.
** UPDATE: Kripke actually appears to be out as showrunner on Supernatural. We'll have more on this news as it develops.
