Is Dana Delany Leaving Desperate Housewives?

Dana Delany has been offered the lead role in Body of Evidence, an upcoming ABC drama. What makes this so unexpected?
The actress is currently starring on Desperate Housewives. It's rare to see a show's star actively courted by another show, especially one that's airing on the same network.
The new series revolves around a female medical examiner who used to work as a neurosurgeon. While ABC has declined to comment on the development, allow us to make this plea to Delany? Get off Wisteria Lane now!
Katherine-related storylines, such as the character's most recent bedroom dalliances (pictured) with Robin, aren't helping your career at all.
What would you advice for Delany be? Do you wanna see her leave Desperate Housewives?

I don't want to see Katherine leave. I don't really care so much about Robin going (not that I don't like her, she just hasn't been a huge part of DH like Dana's character has). I'm just sick of seeing all the main people go. I seriously almost quit watching DH when Edie was killed off.
