It's really sad to see that Heigl is really leaving! Izzie is an amazing charecter! i loved her! its not fair that Heigl is leaving and doesnt seem to care about the fans...:(

I don't believe it.won't wwe ever learn wether she will become a doctor or not,wether she will make up with alex or not,wether she will come back to Seattle or not?I thought heigl would not just dissapear from the show that gave her so much fame and success.doesn't she undestand that's it's cuel to leave the series so acwardly?

I'm done with Grey's now! no more burke, addison, george and now izzie??!!!! WTF? the show is so boring right now, it's not even useful to watch it. without all these characters this is not grey's anymore. they want us to love the new show they are creating with all the boring new people nobody cares. what a pity,I use to be such a huge fan, it makes me sad.izzie was the main reason I watched the show, she was special and her lovestory with alex was just wonderful. I hate how the things end of with the two of them, it's a shame!! but I think katherine heigl should at least have shoot the 5 last episodes of this season, to offer a better end to her character. RIP Grey's

the writers adjust? well yeah, remember denny-sex? well, hell yeah, that was one GREAT adjustment they have to make. Last night's episode was funny but disjointed. They are really trying to make us care for Lexie. I'll still be watching GA but not at as an avid fan anymore. This show kinda sucks at some point although the writers are really trying hard to put there GA spin (magic) on it although it lacks much. They are now trying to reboot the show but at this point, it's faling by any means. a lot of people will comment about this but they are the ones who are still fans, what about the ones who stopped watching it for the past seasons, we actually care, but how can you continue caring when the show's direction is going nowhere. GA is loosing it grip for me. sad.

I wouldn't want to see Izzie leave without a couple ending episodes, for Godssakes! We need some closure! That being said, I think the cast is already TOO BIG--and frankly, I don't really miss Izzie that much anyway.

i hate the last scene with Izzie and Alex, with Alex saying he deserve better. well I don't bout him, but does the word better includes: shacking up with LEXIE what's-her-name? and being the same douche he was before. Well, Alex get over it. I really hated the character esp when he's the doucebag. God, he's awful. Izzie has been through with a lot of things and ALEX deserves bettr. That's awful writing. So the writers and Shonda will move on with GA, adding character and way rehashed storyline: cheating, shacking up, cheating then cheating. God! Get over it. I agree with spaced.OUT. this show is over. I know they'll continue this show as if never really happened. Well this is how stupid the show is.

You know I can't help but feel like it is Ally McBeal all over again.
Don't blame the writers, blame the CAST. The cast is what screwed up this show. They could not get along and they became way too egotistical because of the sudden fame.
The writers have had to constantly adjust story lines over and over because of people coming and going and not getting along.
The only thing I can blame on Shonda is wrecking Addison Shepherd's character by being greedy and creating a half a$$ed spin off. That really bothered me. Hahn leaving had to happen becuase most fans were not into the Callie Hahn thing.
Grey's needs to speed up the story line, which I think they have, and drop the trouble makers and move on. Sorry but Katherine and T.R. HAD to go.
Now all that being said, I think the last few episodes have been pretty good. I actually find my self laughing a lot and enjoying the show once again. I would like to see another emotional lovers angst storyline mixed with lots

seriously, GA is going down. With ratings declining, it's way dying. Yes, a lot of people love the new characters, of course, they are the ones who are still the hopeful ones that the show is still the show they had loved since season 1. Well a lot of people, millions to be exact is jumsping ship now since season 3 onwards. A lot talk about KH, well she's an integral part of the show and without her, the show is not the same. We still have Alex, Christina & Mer, but all of us know that Izzie and George balances out the other three (who we called as the dark and twist's). They tried filling the void by adding chracters. eg. Lexie, who's ok, but is never the same. Then came this season and oh boy, a lot of characters came in the way, and instead of making that lovable characters, they filled it out with a smorgasboard of stupid/annoying/just-get-over it character. Well with this type of direction, ABC still won't pull the plug on this show because it's still one of the most watched

I am extremely saddened to hear that Katherine Hiegl will no longer be on the show. While I do agree that the creators of the show have almost completely ruined her character (Izzie), there was still that little ounce of hope in me that Izzie would once again go back to being the kind of person we knew and loved in Seasons 1&2. It's just such a shame, especially since Alex and Izzie had one of the most amazing weddings i've seen on television...after the producers of Grey's gave us all that, it's quite sad to see it all thrown away. If Hiegl absolutely had to go, the least they could have done was to have her leave on a better note. And some kind of Izzie/Alex closure, because the fact that Izzie did something completely out of character and ditched him just doesn't cut it. Izzie Stevens (and I don't mean the Izzie of this season, because to me, that wasn't even Izzie) will always remain my favorite character and all I can do is hope that Grey's comes back to its senses.

For me Izzie died in 5x24. The same looking person who pretented to be Isobel Stevens wasn't her at all. So I'm glad that they're finally done with ruining my favorite character.
However this sudden farewell is like slap to the face for all Izzie and Alex/Izzie fans. Because we were constantly assured from Shonda etc. that she's on maternity leave and that we're stupid with asking question about her return again and again and again.
I used to love Grey's, now I only watch this show from the habit. It's not only the "Izzie thing". No more MerDer, no more Mer/Chris, no more "magic". Next season needs to be different. Bring new Izzie for Alex because I really miss this type of character.

I'm only mad about this because of Alex/Izzie. They were my favorite couple. Izzie brought the best in Alex.
Frankly, the whole Katherine/Grey's Anatomy thing got on my nerves and not in Katherine's favor. She came across as such a whiner after a while. Lets see how awesome her movie career is post "Greys" beyond romantic comedies that almost go straight to DVD.

Okay, so here is my opinion on all of this: BOTH parties, as well as outside factors of life, are at fault.
I just got finished rewatching seasons 1 and 2, and (especially if you go back and watch them and compare them to now), I think that we can all agree that it is NOT the same. After the end of season 2, things started slowly changing. Not only was that comraderie, that friendship and connection between the original fab five slowly dissapearing, but the writing itself was no longer the same. I just watched the bomb episode and I got CHILLS all over again, and cried with Izzie when Denny died on prom night. The writing in season one and two was INCREDIBLE. Not only was it funny, clever, well thought out, and impeccably written and directed, but the love story between Meredith and Derek was amazing, and even Izzie and Denny. I loved all of the scenes away from the hospital, in Merediths house, and Burkes apartment, and Derek's trailer.

What a relief, no more DIVA, if she wants to make movies, go ahead, the ones she has made are not memorable. She has bit the hand that fed her one too many times, she was nothing before Grey's. She really doesn't deserve a send off she abandoned everyone.

I don't buy the lie "she didnt show up for work" I think Shonda and company lied and said she was coming back....this "insider" thought shed be back, but everyone knew her last episode was done and "she didnt show up" was just joe somebody who is out of the loop......
Anyways I'm done with this show. No reason to watch anymore. George is Dead, Meredith and Alex are background characters. Izzie is gone. Christina is in a relationship that doesnt make sense...
Grey's is horrible to its fanbase. The way they get rid of characters without any closure. First Burke, then Hahn. (they did George too, heck to died and barely had a part in the season AND that piss poor funeral episode for him) and now IZzie...
I'm done with this show.

I'm so pissed. In two ways. One: Izzie Stevens is not coming back. Two: She doesn't get a proper ending.
I mean, come on! At least have her on for one more episode! Closure! Now, I might still watch Grey's Anatomy but it's gone downhill for me. Almost everything has changed and now Izzie is gone, along with George! I might still watch it but there's no guarantee.
I had been looking forward to the episodes with Izzie in it. I wanted to see what would happen and maybe, the closure! She can't just vanish from the show. -.-

I'll personally not miss KH or Izzie at all but I understand the frustration for some people.
I also hope that KH does explain this because not showing up to the set, doesn't look good on her.

ARGH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :( After hanging on ALL SEASON we get this?!?!! :( So much for Shonda saying "A/I are meant to be".
And Izzie at least deserves a better ending, considering that she was one of the original 5 characters. UGH. If that last episode was her last ever episode, it's the most unsatisfactory ending EVER. :(
She NEEDS to come back for at least one more episode for a proper ending. This whole arrangement really sucks. :(

Common people! This is GREY's Anatomy! Expect the unexpected. A curve ball was thrown our way. No one saw it coming and it was BRILLIANT! Watch Mer's expression when she says "Please don't go...this is your HOME." She looked like she was in pain just to say it. And Izzie says "It's just work. I can find work anywhere." It was Shonda's forebodding way of telling all of us that it's goodbye.
I think after 6 seasons, we all should take a hint from Mer. Grow up. Stop whinning. Move on.
Change is good. Sure, we'll definitely miss Izzie & her Martha Stewartesque ways. This news rocked our boat. But let's all find our bearings, plant our trust in Shonda's master of a plan & then just be surprised and blown away all over again.

I could care less! I liked KH/Izzy back in Seasons 1 & 2, but then she became a nut case on (and off) screen.
All the people who say "the show's not the same" -- get over it. All shows have to move forward, they can't stay the same otherwise it gets boring to see the same stories over and over. you can't obviously expect to continue working with the same people for the rest of your career, can you? People come and go, lives change, people change -- and that's the most realistic aspect this shows gotten right.

When I read that KH isn't coming back my brain went numb. I love Izzie and I am sad that she isn't returning to GA. I do not harbor any bad feelings towards the actress over this decision and I wish KH the best on her future endevors.I wish that Izzie had a better sendoff or come back for 1 episode to give her closure between her,Alex and Mer (I do believe that Alex had closure with Izzie and ended on positive terms for him but not her which is why I wanted them both happy)
I'm not the type to watch a TV show for one character or couple (No matter how much I love the character) and I don't dwell on things too much it just isn't me. I am really gonna miss Izzie and I hope some way that she will come back for one epi (even if it is the series finale whenever that is)
To the Izzie fans who are(or aren't) going to watch grey's anymore:
Don't put hatred towards KH because unless you know her in person.You shouldn't really base your opinion on her based on what the media says becaus
