im not really going to miss her.. i got used to not seeing her anymore so i dont care too much but i think she should come back for one episode just for closure. and out of respect for everyone else.
and @lina yes there is going to be a season 7 =]

It's so sad :( , i really liked Izzie , i agree that she could come back just for one episode to say goodbye to everybody , cause you just don't walk away like this..
But I'm glad to see her in another movies , i think she's pretty good actor :)

i'm shocked right now. didnt see that coming...
i dont know the whole story and i'm in no position to say something against KH or the producers, but i think this is a very poor ending for izzy, especially for the izzy/alex relationship.
i just dont buy it. he moved on??? she will never come back?
they just pretend their whole story never happened? okay...-.-
and all the friendship...everything gone? no more mer, cris, alex, izzy...fun? i think that's it. greys will move on, but i'm not with them...goodbye.

What happened to Alex and Izzie are meant for each other Shonda, don't worry A/I fans!!!!!!!!! Well screw it, I'm done with the show now, first George, now Izzie and that messes with Alex's character, and I can't stand Lexie......Guess I'll find something else to spend my time doing on Thursday nites. Bad Choice on both parts, KH just upset all her Grey's fans so now I'm gonna be disappointed with her all together.

KH made Izzy-she had agood thing going, Greys made her career-you would think she could be professional about her issues and show some restaint, sounds like she's burnt some bridges and that too bad. I loved Izzy

I could care less that she is not coming back. She wanted out and now she got it. I won't miss her a bit. She just got annoying these past 2 seasons when she was around. Bye Bye!

This sucks. I was a loyal fan of the show for years but its lost its fire. The only thing I had to look forward to was Izzies return.

I think that if she is going to leave i think that should've get her a proper ending. It's not ok how things just ended. They have been friends for 6 years. And they survied the cancer I think that should've survived a break up and that she got fired from shg. now that dereks is incharge i thought that he would hire her back.
It's not an OK ending for Izzie Stevens! Hope that she'll be back for just one apperence! Does anyone know if there will be season 7?

too bad she will not come back for an episode so they can write her off properly - but i for one am glad to see her go i have not missed her at all this season best of luck to KH but i will be happier watching GA without her

The chief fired Izzie it's not she works at Seattle Grace anymore
plus the whole thing with Alex he's moved on from her Izzie's character doesn't have anything going for her so i'm not surprised
she won't be returning i'm not a fan of Izzie hopefully Katherine will move onto other things(:

I still reckon they (ABC and Shonda Rhimes)should recast the role of Izzie Stevens, Katherine Heigl has been out of the show, that a new actress would bring new life to the character of Izzie. I love Izzie as a character and Izzie should be lost just because Katherine Heigl no longer wants to play her, it's time for another actress to develop Izzie further. Have some in house jokes, like Izzie what have you done to yourself, you don't look like yourself anymore, did you go off and have plastic surgery, that kind of thing, would work really well.

That blows. If she is leaving, fine, but I wish there was some better closure for her character if this is true. I'm not blaming either side, as I am not involved and don't know the whole story, but as a fan, it kind of sucks to not get a proper goodbye to a character that has been with us since day one.

I guess that pretty much puts an end to the discussion on whether we'll see a blonde or brunette Izzie returning...
I think everyone saw that coming, but COME ON, the show deserves at least 1 FREAKIN' EPISODE where her character gets a closure of some sort...this must have been a pretty nasty ending between Grey's and KH.

I am not surprised by this news, KH wants to persue her movie career, not be tied to a tv contract. I think we've been weened off Izzie as a character this season.
As to Izzie, I can't see her being killed off. Divorce, and will she want to use those frozen embryos?

Katherine Heigl's behaviour towards the creators of Grey's Anatomy was just stupid. She said things on television that she shouldn't have. So, her character would deserve a normal way out of the show, but the creators of Grey's Anatomy don't owe anything to Katherine Heigl anymore. She's the one who misbehaved very badly.

I think it's really rude from Heigl not to come back at least one more time to close the story. Her relationships with Alex and Meredith and Christina and Bailey could have had a descent ending. I mean a real goodbye. All those years of friendship between the original fives and it ends like that ? Come on !

Thank goodness! I used to love Izzie but now I can totally live without her! If she's not coming back at least that means that everyone can stop going on about whether or not she will be back and when. And Alex can properly move on (as though he hasn't already), and we can look forward to seeing Katherine Heigl in some films. Hoorah!
