United States of Tara Review: "Yes"

Last night marked the season premiere of United States of Tara.

For those of you who do not have Showtime, we definitely recommend calling your cable/satellite provider and getting it pronto!

This is an amazing show about the life of a multiple personality person and how it brings a sense of familiarity and uniqueness to the normal family life (husband, wife, and two and a half kids).

Max and Tara

It was interesting to see that while we've been away from the Gregsons, Tara has remarkably been able to not change into one of her personalities (yes, the meds may be the reason why and we still do not know the effect it has on her). It has been going so great that she even donates all of their clothes.

In "Yes", the whole family is doing amazing as a unit. Kate graduates early, Marshall's made a new group of friends, and even Charmaine has a wonderful boyfriend who proposes.

But all good things must come to an end, and it was interesting that the writers would have it be Buck that comes back first.

Buck now has a love interest - Pammy - played by the unforgettable Joey Lauren Adams. She is a bartender at a local dive bar that Tara meets out with Max.

What made Tara's alter come back? We would have to guess it is because the neighbor committed suicide. Something in Tara snapped when she went to his house.

The house itself represents an alternate world for Tara. It is set on the same street that she lives on, but everything about this house is different from hers. Perhaps this is the reason why she lets herself go....again.

We can't wait to see what happens next and how everything will change once her family realizes that the alters are back.

We really do love this show and all the originality it has. Will you be tuning in?!

Until next week, we leave you with a few of our favorite United States of Tara quotes after the jump!

Tara: Why does this feel like a small victory? I bet everyone thought that I would be the one to off myself. But guess what Oak Avenue? The lady with all the personalities is not the most f***ed up person on the block.

Max: Chinese checkers - I've got Chinese checkers here! | permalink
Tara: It's an apron relax. | permalink
