Dylan Bruno to Guest Star on NCIS Season Finale

at .

Dylan Bruno of Numb3rs fame will guest star in the final two episodes (May 18 and May 25) of the current season of NCIS, which finally returns tomorrow night.

He'll play Lt. Jason Paul Dean, a freelance mercenary with ties to the private military company operated by Col. Merton Bell (Robert Patrick), TV Guide reports.

Bell, of course, has become an enemy of Gibbs (Mark Harmon), ever since our favorite NCIS agent put him away earlier this season. Where does Lt. Dean fit in?

He's an "imposing, edgy and dangerous former Army Ranger who was highly decorated before a screw-up in Afghanistan led to his dishonorable discharge."

Now a hired gun, he's not at all afraid to kill when necessary.

M. Allison Hart

These two both have ties to Gibbs' foe Col. Bell.

Obviously, that's bad news for Gibbs, who arrested Bell for going after the granddaughter and daughter-in-law of Gibbs' friend Mike Franks (Muse Watson).

It was also Bell who sent a hawkish lawyer named M. Allison Hart (Rena Sofer) after Gibbs shortly thereafter, and we know how that turned out. Or do we?

In any case, expect both guest stars to play big roles in May.

Bruno's character will appear in the penultimate episode, then stick around for the finale, in which Gibbs has to make a devastating choice to save his team.

Are you excited to see Bruno - and Sofer - mix it up with Gibbs - and what do you think Leroy Jethro's big decision entails? Comment below!

Tony: Well, it's like Gorillas in the Midst. You'll get to understand his grunts.

Torres: When I break out the glass, maybe I can rip out the bars.
Bishop: With what? Your superhuman strength?
