Glee Spoilers: Who Will Judge Regionals?

by at . Comments

The great news: Glee returns tonight (look for a detailed recap/review of the episode, complete with the latest quotes, music and photos on TV Fanatic, first thing tomorrow morning)!

The bad news: This means the countdown to the June 8 season finale will soon be on.

As fans know, or could easily surmise, this episode will focus on a showdown between New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline at Regionals. And who will be judging that competition?

Entertainment Weekly has the answer: a trio of celebrities that includes Glee favorite Josh Groban (pictured), Olivia Newton-John and Sue Sylvester. Indeed, by that time, Sue will be a national star.

“The theme of Regionals is celebrity judges,” series creator Ryan Murphy told the magazine. “Sue is now a nationwide celebrity. And Olivia and Josh only like choirs that sing their songs, so that’s funny. They wanted to do something that played against what people think about them... to play against type. So we gave them an opportunity. And it’s funny to have Sue as a judge when she doesn’t really know about [music], and she has it out for that darn Glee club.”

Glee Guest Star

The finale starts shooting next week. Star Matthew Morrison teases it as “the best episode I have ever read of the show. It is phenomenal. I was bawling.”

In other words: it's classic Glee. We're so happy this show is back.

Glee Quotes

Beiste: Dr. Jones said the new end of world date is September 27, 2014
Brittany: That gives us like two whole years of giving love and brutal honesty to everyone we know.

Will: I hate to say it but I think as long as you keep being yourself, your life is probably going to be a constant string of 'don't belongs'.
Unique: I know. I should probably start getting used to it.
Will: No, no. You should never get used to it. All great changes come from people who refused to get used to what was accepted but wasn't right. Slavery, gay rights, New Coke.
