Gossip Girl Spoilers: Vanessa Leaving Town?!

at . Comments

There's craziness coming our way as the third Gossip Girl season winds down, and aside from whether Chair and Serenate end up together, we may say goodbye to a familiar face.

Or two.

On the heels of the news that the meddling Jenny may be leaving the Upper East Side this season, it looks like another female regular will be heading off into the sunset.

The question is whether anyone minds - or wants her to come back.

According to reports, Vanessa will be leaving not only New York but the country before the end of the season, running off to accept a very fancy, far away job with CNN.

Jessica Szohr is the second female, along with Taylor Momsen's MIA Little J, to depart New York City - however both ladies will still be listed as series regulars next fall.

As for what Little J will do that leads to her departure, word has it "it's a culmination of lots of things Jenny does to multiple people." That doesn't sound good at all.

In the short term, don't expect Serena to continue to sit idly by now that she knows Jenny tried to hone in on Nate. The two are headed for some rough times ahead.

What do you think drives J out of town - and are you excited to be rid of Vanessa, albeit temporarily? Should she even come back? Sound off below!

Hallelujah, goodbye Little J !

God her middle parting is awful. V and J are both irritating. Can't figure out who I like less.

I have personally never liked Vanessa and I think its because she wasnt an original character and ive felt like she is just intruding on everyone elses story lines and she just doesnt really fit with anything on the show I mean we already have one outsider, Dan. I mean we dont really need two.

Why does everybody hate Vanessa? Just because she isn't as rich or as scandalous as Blair and Serena? @SiriDavidsen No that is not why. Because her lines are annoying, and her "stories" add nothing entertaining the show. Because her acting is painfully irritating and bad.

Vanessa is leaving??? Time to pop the champagne.

Thank God she's going. Never really liked Vanessa too much. Her usefulness was used up in the first season after a rather short stint as romantic rival to Serena. I am, however, going to miss Jenny. I find her to be one of the more entertaining characters and I predict I will find a noticeable drop in my laughs per episode while she is gone. At least it looks like they may have a legitimate, plot related reason for sending her away. The way she's heading right now she may be in need of some serious assistance; which is what I imagine they will send her away to get.

OMG I don't hate her I just think the writer don't know what to do with the other characters in the show I mean chuck and Blair since season 1 having been getting good story lines but I cant seem to fine any constant story lines for the rest of the character in the show like Vanessa and Dan I just find my self fast forwarding their scenes which I sad I think they need to get a better writing team for the show so the character will become more liked

YES! I hate Vanessa!

Gossip de la girl

Does this mean that Dan will now get a real storyline? SUCCESS.

I don't really see the point in Vanessa leaving. She's one of the 2 characters that's actually in school and doing things. All Chair does is scheme and when Serenate tries to do anything productive, something always goes wrong. BUT I'm so glad jenny's leaving for a bit. I can't stand the character or Taylor. She's so wishy washy and has no real purpose. Plus, she's a backstabbing bitch who deserves to be beat down by Serena!

[to Jenny] That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey. You can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you. For what it's worth, you're my Queen. I choose you.
