After appearing on Smallville earlier this season, Michael Shanks continues his run on The CW by playing a key role on Thursday's new episode of Supernatural.

Titled "99 Problems," the hour focuses on Shanks's character, Rob, and his townspeople. All of them are aware of the impending Apocalypse, having been training for the event/showdown with demons for years.

When Sam and Dean meet a supposed prophet from the community, they discover that she's actually turning citizens against each other in the name of the Lord. As a result, the brothers realize they must kill her.

In the clip below, meanwhile, we realize that Lost isn't the only show to feature a dangerous puff of black smoke...
